NEW BLACKBERRY BOLD 9000

It takes me almost a week after I had my new toy to blog about it. I haven't gotten the excitement just yet. I want to introduce to you my new toy, also my new Crystalbie: CRYSTBERRY. Well, the fact is: I just bought a new Blackberry Bold 9000.

To be honest, I didn't pay much attention to Blackberry phones, even though they had been in the market a long time ago. To me, it was just a phone, besides it looks ugly and heavy. My palms are small, so I only prefer small and cute phone which fits perfectly in my palm. Blackberry never made it in my to-buy list. Even though, a friend of mine passed to me his berry to use while my phone battery was running out of, I found nothing interesting except for the confusion of too many functions. It happened a year ago, I swear.

But then, I saw so many people use it. I felt itched. I went online and searched for BlackBerry on Singtel's website. I wasn't ready to buy as I have already had my cutie CrystTC (HTC Touch 3G). Until the last extend I couldn't take it anymore!!! My 2 bosses bought 2 Blackberry Bold phones to show me, he said "You see, now every time company receives an email, I receive it too. This is so good!" Now, that drove me so crazy. And the next day, I went to the shop, I signed the contract to get for me a new Berry.
This is the one!
As usual, I didn't like my gadget to look so simple, so I blinked it up with Crystals. Finally, the BlackBerry joined the Crystal's family, so she had to change her name to CrystBERRY!
SHE IS HERE!

Last time, it took me about 2 to 3 hours to complete blinking my gadgets, but now it took me 4 days because I didn't have time to do all this stuff anymore :( But anyway, I managed to get it done to show you.
From the back! Do you see the Crystal word at her back? If you can, try to look at further distance, you'll see it clearly :D I also downloaded a pink theme for my BlackBerry with lot of customized icons.

Super cute tiny heart shape. I love it!
After using Blackberry for a while, I slowly fell in love with the smartness and awesomeness of this phone.
1.) BERRY IS INDEED A VERY SMART PHONE.
The other day, I asked my friend his phone number and saved it into my Berry. While I was trying to save his phone number and email address, the phone immediately looked for all information about my friend including his company, his photo, Facebook address, etc....I was like: "What is this?"

2.) SUPER COOL BERRY MESSENGER WHICH IS TOTALLY FOC!
Yes, this is true. This is because Blackberry includes service chat for all berry users. So what you need to do is to exchange your PIN with your friends (whoever you want to stay connect with) and ask them to add you. DONE! Regardless of his location, you still can stay in touch with your friends/ boyfriend/ girlfriend....I'm forcing my boyfriend to have a same Berry like mine now, lolz....
Here is how the Messenger looks like!
As I just owned this Berry not long ago, so in my list I still haven't added anyone yet besides....my boss. Hahahahah!

3.) NOT TO MENTION ABOUT FACEBOOK! IT'S JUST SO EASY TO USE!
Something like this!
Whenever I receive any notification, Berry will notify me. When I have an event that I need to attend, Berry notifies me. How cool is that?
I could be responding so quickly that you couldn't imagine. My friend asked: "Damn, you don't need to work? You are online all the time!"
I said: "No, I'm not online all the time. It's my Berry online, lolz"

4.) WHAT ABOUT TWITTER?
Oh Yeah, don't talk about it. Twitter has never been so easier. See this interface!
I can see what other people reply to my tweet too!
Update your photos to twitter? Not a big problem.
Just snap a photo, and update over Twitpic in Twitter application. It's all done in a min.
Photo sample. It was taken during my movie shooting last week. It's a short movie about dancing :) The photo quality is GREAT, even though the camera pixel is just 2MP only.
I started tweeting like crazy since I have Berry. Almost every single thing I do, I want to tweet. But of course you need to install either TWITBERRY or UBERTWITTER application on your Berry too!

5.) MSN/ YAHOO MESSENGER/ GOOGLE TALK/ ICQ, YOU NAME IT, BERRY HAS IT.
I can just simply log on either one or all, and just leave my phone there to go with other applications. Whenever there is income text, BERRY will DING to notify me.
Photobucket
Simple as that!
6.) YOUTUBE
7.) BLOGGING
8.) GOOGLE MAPS/ LATTITUDE
...
Too many to mention. In conclusion, YOU MUST BUY A BLACKBERRY!
I'm super in love with it personally. I'm on Berry all the time, on the train, when I'm walking, eating,...until my Berry battery runs out of so quickly. I charge it everyday! And since I have had Berry, I didn't spend much time with my HTC :(. Maybe she is complaining about me now!
"See! She started already"
"Ooopsss, my bad!"
"Yeahhh, definitely!"
Say Cheese with Blackberry ;)

GRAND CENTRAL HOTEL

Sorry for the super outdated post, but this is something I wanted to share. Last weekend when my boyfriend came to Singapore to visit me during the Malaysia National Day, I planned everything to make his trip in Singapore memorable and fantastic. But things didn't happen as what I expected. It was the stay at Grand Central hotel made it so utterly unforgettable. I was really angry and disappointed, will never ever stay there again.

I booked the hotel at the Changi Airport (*Booking a hotel room at Changi Airport via Hotel Association service counter is relatively 50% lesser compares to booking at the hotel itself) and since the lady told me that this is 4 stars hotel, so we trusted her. It costed us S$90/ night. And when we got into the hotel, checked in and came up to our room. This is our room.

Does it look good??? No, it's because my camera is good, not the hotel room.

WE BOOKED 1 KING SIZE BED BUT THEY GAVE US 2 BED: 1 DOUBLE BED AND 1 SINGLE BED. How awesome is that?
We went down and asked the receptionist, they then told us "Our hotel is fully booked today" - Such an off-peak season and the hotel was fully booked? If it was fully booked, they should have told us earlier when we did the first booking, why the hell they couldn't inform. I felt like we were cheated. Damn! Ok fine, we took that room since the money was paid. But we couldn't have any pleasant stay either.
Not just that, THERE IS NO AIRCON REMOTE CONTROL, can you believe so? I guessed It was a central aircon so no remote control needed. And look at the aircon for God's sake!

It was so cold in the room, so I had to call the housekeeping to increase the temperature every 15 minutes. The operator called the maintenance guy and they checked for you which you were not sure whether he did or didn't check. Apparently, the temperature remained the same. At night, it was so cold and I had to cover myself with 2 blankets. But look at this blanket!!! It looks and feels so old, doesn't it? No, it's not soft for your info. It made me itch the whole night.

My boyfriend couldn't stand cold either, he couldn't sleep, kept sneezing. Even though, we made 3 times calling to operator to increase our temperature, nothing changed. In the end, you know what we did? We gotta open the window to reduce the cold.

But poor thing, the hotel is facing the main road, hence there was so much noise from the street. We couldn't sleep at all that 2 nights. It felt horrible.
They told me, "this is the 4 stars hotel", but I didn't see anything in this hotel meet that standard. From the old-looking and scratchy table!

To the dusty electric water boiler.
The refrigerator with nothing inside.

I couldn't believe that a 4 star hotel couldn't have any tea, coffee, at least a welcome drink....None. Even I stayed in a 2 star hotel before, they also gave me 2 bottles of water. I called to the room service. They just told me like that "Oh sorry! We don't serve any free drink. If you want to drink, you have to pay". Then she hung up.

Luckily, we just stayed there for 2 nights only and only went back to the hotel after we got really tired from shopping outside. Or else, It would really be a terrible holiday for me and my boyfriend. Poor him! He must be having a very bad impression about Singapore Hotel. Grand Central, you just ruined the Singapore hotel standard. Our weekend was just gone like that. The only thing made my boyfriend so happy was this little sparkling monkeys from Swarovski. The real limited edition of Swaroski Crystal: Gorilla. So cute! It is so beautiful. There are only a few hundred sets were made this year. Only Swaroski members can buy and each member can get 1 set. My boyfriend was so in love with it until he was willing to register member for 2 of us to get the two sets home. (the first time I saw he was mesmerized by the Crystal, lolz). Anyway, luckily that at least there was something to cheer him up and it made me feel better.

If you want to check out how the hotel looks like, you can go to Orchard Road from Somerset station, walk a little bit further down, you can see the big hotel behind the Concord hotel... But perhaps, after reading my post, I don't think that you need to do so. Good experience to share :)

P/S: I'm currently so busy with many things and would not be able to blog 2, 3 posts a week. Reading my TWITTER instead to check it out what i'm doing. Thank you
