Crystal's Closet: Weekly Wardrobe (Ep27) and a short getaway trip.

A new blog entry after this blog post, so don't forget to check it out!

I'm finally back Singapore and not going to travel anywhere until January 2013 (most probably, I hope). It's fun to travel but it's not when you realize you have not even had time to unpack, it's time to pack again. And while I was complaining about how much I hate packing and unpacking in between trips, my luggage was lost when I landed in Hanoi. It was really like Karma, wish came true! I didn't have to unpack & pack at all even when I was home. TigerAirways is still finding my luggage (as what they have been updating me. I hope they really are making an effort to search for it) but no news yet :(.  Anyway, I'll talk more about this stupid incident in the next blog entry.

Now, it's time for fashion to take place: New episode of my Weekly Wardrobe. Pardon me, this episode was 2 weeks ago before I flew to Bali. I'm catching up!

Monday: Urban Chic & Sleek
Got my Monday heated up by all the earth colors: oranges, reds, yellows, browns and that's also how I came up with the name "Urban chic". Peplum orange skirt with matching accessories. Black shoes followed the black chiffon top. It was a way to boot your energy up on blue Monday as most people used to call.

Something sweet came to office on Tuesday. 2 new blazers from my sponsor Sheinside travelled miles and miles to reach me. Please welcome them to Crystal's Closet.

At night, I went to have dinner with my client at this beautiful club house. The foods just tasted much better right here

Hi everyone,

As you may know, this month- October, the world is gearing up and going Pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. For those who don't know, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign to increase the awareness of the disease. While many people are aware of breast cancer, some still forget to take steps to detect the disease at early stage. And so, in year 2010, there were nearly 1.5 millions women were told to be suffered from Breast Cancer. I'm sure the number has increased by now. So, how should we prevent it from happening to us?

  1. Have early detection plan by performing self- breast exam each month or go for clinical breast exam done by a qualified nurse or doctor. Early warning sign of breast cancer may involve the existence of a new lump or a change of breast tissue or skin. So show some love to your boobies.
  2. Having a healthy lifestyle is one of the keys to protect you from breast cancer and other illnesses. Exercise regularly, drink lot of water, eat healthy (lot of vegetables and fruits instead of fried, oily stuffs).
Now, another question is: "How could we help other women around us be aware of Breast Cancer?".

One of the most common activities during Breast Cancer Awareness month is "Wear the Pink Ribbon" and Dress up in Pink to show your support and concern.

And here, in line with the world famous campaign, I've created 3 different style sets on Polyvore to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Check it out!

1. Keep calm and love Boobies.
If you are a big fan of barbie doll, cute & sweet looking style, this set is for you. Ombre pink-white barbie doll dress with high heels, pink clutch and accessories. I couldn't get enough of the sweetness from this set. Click on the item photo to purchase the product.

Keep calm and love boobies

2. I Wear Pink For Someone Special.

This is the style of Goddess.  It's time for you to show your sexy, mysterious and magnetic beauty. The strapless tight hugging dress is a perfect choice to show off your cleavage. Let's the other women know how to protect and to have beautiful breast like yours. Also, for A or B cups women, this dress will still give you extra asset *wink*  Here I chose fuchsia bodycon dress and paired it with all black accessories i.e necklace, shoes, clutch, bangle, etc...

I wear pink for somone special

3. I Wear Pink for Pink Ribbon.

Up to casual style instead of dolly or sexy look above? I got it covered. Here is a style set for a casual day out and it still makes you look chic. Pink jeans, ombre pink-white loose blouse, cute pink sunglasses and handbag. I'm a fan of high heels so I choose a pair of pink heels instead of flat sandals. They both work well with this look. Flat sandals will give you extra comfort and casual feel while high heels will pull attention on your legs and hips. Not to forget some gold accessories to neutralize and balance out the entire look.

I wear Pink for....

So that's something special I got for you in October. Remember! Prevention is better than cure! I hope my little message is useful for you and please show some love, concern, support to others. Spread the words around!

Happy Pink October, everyone!

Crystal's Closet: Weekly Wardrobe (Ep26)

Hi guys!

I hope you've had great week and will have awesome weekend ahead.

I'm back from Bali and now I'm packing again for Vietnam trip tomorrow morning. You guys are gonna miss me, I know. *sad face*

The past 2 weeks were amazing so far. I can't wait til the end of the month to experience what's happening next. Pardon me for not being able to update my blog these few weeks as I have been extremely busy everyday. Not to worry, when I'm back, I promise to give you a full, long, satisfying blog entry with lot of beautiful photos. I have more than 500 photos need to be edited. That sounds exciting to you but trust me, they need shitload of work.

Anyway, let's back to our usual Weekly Wardrobe before I can go further.

Leather, suede, blazer...these are the must-have items in your closet. I wish Singapore could have 4 seasons so that I could rock this trend walking down the street. It's Fall season now and I'm dying to wear all my favorite blazers, legging, leather skirts, boots etc.... It was so lucky that the weather was really cool on last Monday due to the heavy rain, and It allowed me to wear my Fall outfit without looking weird.

Close up shot of hair and make up.

Tuesday- Red ruby girl.

Just got sponsored this unique 2 pieces velvet dress and I couldn't wait to put it on. Besides the soft material, I also love the bows on the shoulders and wavy hem line of the cropped top. Ultra sweetness!

Red pencil dress: Dorothy Perkins (similar)
Heels:  Jessica Simpson
Accessories:  Fantasy Jewelry Box

Close up of my hair and make up for the day.

Faux fur over-sized blouse over the pencil skirt with long necklace and corset belt. This is perhaps the simplest and easiest look that everyone can carry. And it's effortlessly classic and elegant. In fact, it didn't take me much time to decide what to pair with this faux fur blouse. As the blouse has thick texture by itself so something simple would be a good idea to match. There you go, plain pencil skirt.

Fur blouse: H&M
Pencil skirt: Costa Blanca (similar)
Corset belt: GUESS by Marciano (similar)
Chain necklace: Forever21 or Chan Lulu (similar) - Bangles: ASOS

Simple hair and makeup for that day plus a big kiss for you my loyal blog readers.

Chiffon floral vintage toga dress with sock bun hairstyle. As it wasn't appropriate to wear toga dress for work and to attend formal meetings, I decided to layer it up with a butterfly chiffon cardigan and a thick belt to accentuate on the waist area. The belt can sometimes do amazing finished task.

Closet up shoot of my natural make up look for the sunny day. It was so hot and sunny that caused me a headache. However, to my surprise, the make up didn't melt and I could still capture a flawless glowing skin after a long working day. Here is my tip: always apply face primer before foundation and don't forget to keep a bottle of mineral facial mist spray with you whenever you are out, under hot sun.

Close up of the lips, what do you think ? People say your lips will briefly tell about your characters, is it true? What do your lips say about you?

At night, I was invited to attend the official launch of "Lab Series", a skin care brand for men. It was really fun night as I had chance to meet up with many people, some old friends and some new ones.

Was given some of these products to bring home but I can't use them coz it's for men only :(

Bumped into Angelique Teo at this event too. Our first meet up was at Marc Anthony event when she was a host.

From left: Linda Black, me & Angelique Teo. Lovely ladies from HBO Channel.

Cowgirl look for Friday. I usually dress up sexier for Friday as I know I always by chance or by choice head down for party after work on Friday night. This week, the rule was broken. I wanted to be super casual and fun with jeans, chiffon shirt and hat. It made me feel like a cowgirl.

Chiffon stripped shirt: G2000
Jeans: Hudson Jeans (similar)
Shoes: GUESS (Similar)

In fact, this look was inspired by G2000 advertisement that I saw at the shop and I just had to re-create it. Who wore it better? ;)

Glitter gold eyes and T-shirt for shopping and brunch with friends.

I allowed myself to get up at 11am and got ready for the photoshoot in the afternoon. It has been a year I have not done any photoshoot and now I have an itch to do it occasionally.

Completed this drama eyes make up look in an hour. I think my make-up skill has gone up to a next level, don't you think?
After make-up, finding what type of shoes should I wear was really a big problem.

I don't know which one to choose, they all are so gorgeous. In the end, I chose the top 2.

So you want to know how did the photos turn out?

Your wish is granted!!!!
Sneak peek of my photoshoot.

The wild series.

And the Dance movement series.

Will upload more when all the photos are done editing.

Is that enough to keep you entertained while I'm gone? I hope it is.

Coming up next, 2 more new weekly wardrobe episodes and the traveling episode to Bali are supposed to be up soon. If I can't update when I'm on the go, I'll do it when I'm back. Obviously, isn't it? LOLz.

So stay tuned and if you wish to "check out my ass", I meant checking out where I go, what I do, What i wear, to get real-time update from me, join my Facebook Fanpage or Follow me on these social network sites below.
