BOTOX AND NOSE FILLER AT ASTIQUE, THE AESTHETIC CLINIC 2

BOTOX AND NOSE FILLER AT ASTIQUE, THE AESTHETIC CLINIC 2

Hey everyone!

Let's take a break from all the fashion and outfit blog posts, today I'm going to talk about the most popular topic in aesthetic & beauty industry: Botox, Chin & Nose Fillers

It IS such a popular topic that I saw & read on newspapers and in many forum people are talking about it. So I'm gonna give it a shot to explain and share with you guys further information that you have been asking around.

Before flying off to Vietnam, I made an appointment with my favorite clinic- Astique The Aesthetic Clinic for some facial treatments. I did my first botox & filler injection with them back in 2012 (Read the old entry here) and continue to be one in 2013.

Their clinic has just moved from Takashimaya to Shaw House, a much better and bigger location.

When I arrived, there were some cookies and a hot cup of tea have already prepared for me. I was taken to a treatment room to get myself prepared & ready.

First thing first, numbing cream was applied to the areas where I wanted to have botox & fillers injected to.

I had numbing cream applied on my nose bridge as I wanted a minor touch up. As you can see, some amounts of filler on my nose are still there after 1 year.

Unfortunately, botox in my jaw didn't last that long so I had to re-inject. Usually, botox will last for 6 months only.

This time round, I wanted to focus on other area on my face and that explains why there were some plastic wraps on my chin area.

While waiting for numbing cream to take effect, bunch of movies were given to me to watch. I chose "Titanic" :D *never get bored of any movie that talks about love*

Also, more tea and cookies were brought in for me to enjoy.

Believe it or not, I was still watching the movie while doctor was doing the injection :D
This time, Dr. Matthew Yap used Restylane to inject into my nose and chin.

Let's look at how the procedure went.

Doctor first marked all the important spots where needed to be injected to reduce the size of my jaw. Botox is best known for jaw slimming, fyi!

Injection in the process.

while I was trying to glance at the TV :D

Move on to the nose fillers part, doctor injected very small amount of filler into my nose as my nose was already pretty high up. In fact, I wanted to make my nose tip to look pointier but Dr. Yap suggested not to so I trusted him.

Done with nose & jaw in less than 20 minutes, now let's move on to the most exciting part.

Chin fillers!
From the very first time, I wanted to do something on my chin, to make it look longer, to create a V-shape look. That first time was failed miserably not because of doctor's skill, it was because of my chin. When I was 12 years old, I had a serious injury when somebody threw their broken glass window from  2nd story building to where I was standing. The piece of glass stabbed onto my chin by chance and left a scar til now. I didn't remember about it at all and didn't even know a scar exists until I found out there was small amount of filler from my chin flew down to my neck. I guess it must be from that accident so I consulted doctor and had it solved. I thought I would never have a longer chin. :(

This time, I told Dr. Yap what happened and how much I wanted to have my chin fillers done. He suggested me a different approach: injecting the filler on the upper part of the chin instead of the lower one.

And done!
See any difference yet? Don't be hurry! I'll show you up-close photo shortly. But before that, allow me to take you to a clinic tour :D

Ok! This is new! I realized that Astique the Aesthetic Clinic now have THEIR OWN beauty products under their name. Talk about BRANDING!

Here with my favorite, handsome doctor: Dr. Matthew Yap!

Close up shot! Look at how glowing and flawless his skin is! Jealous!

And now, here for you- my lovies, my exclusive BEFORE-AFTER photos that you have been waiting for:

Side view.

Front view!
And here is the photo after 1 week I took when I was in Vietnam. No photoshop on the photo, I swear!

The most wonderful part is: The filler DID NOT flow down to my neck as what happened few years ago. I was so worried for the entire week after that and kept checking & making sure there would not be anything happened. It did not! :D :D :D

Amazing huh? I hope my blog entry has answered your question: "What happened to your face?"- "You look different?"- "How could your chin get so long?" etc...
Well, If you see somebody's face changed (longer chin, higher nose, smaller jaw) in very short period of time, there is no such reason called "Weight Loss", they most certainly have fillers done.

And I don't think why we need to hide it away or feel embarrassed about it. After all, it's a very common aesthetic treatment with no downtime, safety, pain free and quick compares to plastic surgery. Who doesn't want to look good anyway!

If you want to make an appointment to have a friendly consultation with doctor before making your final decision, please email to enquiry@crystalphuong.net with "Astique Clinic" in your email subject. If you want to contact to clinic directly, don't forget to mention my name "CRYSTALPHUONG" when meeting with doctor :)

Crystal's Closet: Spring from my balcony!

Crystal's Closet: Spring from my balcony!

Hi everyone!

It's so sad that my holiday in Vietnam is ending very soon and I'm still not getting enough of it yet. It's so peaceful and relaxing to live in here but then I realize: it's time to get back to work, to the busy life and to start everything fresh again. I hope you've had great Lunar New Year & Valentine celebration with your loved ones.

Today, the location for my outfit of the day shoot is very special: on my living room balcony at night. While I was having trouble to find a decent place in my living room (with bright lighting) for a quick photo-shoot, my dad came to offer me a help. He suggested to have all the photos taken at the balcony area which is also his most favorite place for chilling everyday. To my surprise, he even offered to be my photographer :D. It took me 15 minutes to explain & show him how to use my camera features, where are the zooms, what type of photos I wanted to achieve. Because Daddy's eyesight is not very good and it's difficult for him to keep his hands steady or perhaps my camera is pretty complicated for him to use, thus, some photos turn out to be quite blurry. But I still decided to upload all photos up because I love all of them. It's so sweet of my dad indeed!

Here are my dad's pieces of art! :D

Layering my polka dot shirt with sweaters and a bib statement necklace.

I can't go a day without an armcandy.

Wedges sneakers are the new obsession. They are so comfortable to wear and so chic.

::Outfit::
Beige pants: Michael Kors
Polka dot shirt: G2000 (Similar here)
Sweaters: ZARA (Similar here and here)
Wedges Sneakers: Blink (Other colors blue, black purple, brown, brown-yellow)
Accessories: Forever21 necklace- Forever21 spike bracelet

I love how supportive my family is even though sometimes they don't understand what I'm doing, why I'm weirdly taking a photo of my hand, my feet, my butt instead of my face :D, they just help and support me.
I hope you love the photos my daddy took and sorry if they are not clear enough. No matter what, these are still my most memorable and favorite photos because not everyday I can ask my dad to take pictures for me.  Perhaps, it's once a year only!

Thank you for reading my blog and don't forget to click onto the links of "Outfit" items that I featured above, you may find something you love there ;)
Stay chic!

WHAT TO WEAR ON VALENTINE'S DAY?

WHAT TO WEAR ON VALENTINE'S DAY?

Hi everyone!

Valentine's Day is here finally! Have you had already your plan with your loved one tonight? What are you wearing for the special date? I'm sure some of you have already planned what to wear, what to do. But just in case you are still wondering what to wear tonight, here are some outfits inspiration I created/ styled just for you:

1. Give me some candy and passionate kisses.

Valentine's Day is a perfect occasion to put on the red dress if you are not used to this hot and passionate color. This year, flare dresses make a come-back with many different styles, designs, cutting and I love the dress I chose here. It's fitting enough to flaunt your sexy curve and comfortable enough to move around.
A pair of pointy toe pumps is perfect for this type of dresses. It's classy, sexy and very feminine.

Give me candy and kisses

2. Lace Up Valentine
Lace outfit is always my all time favorite. I find it extremely sexy, sensual and magical especially whenever it's styled with nude/ beige material underneath. You want your boyfriend's eyes glued to your body? Rock this lace bodycon dress! Keep the accessories simple and let the dress do the talking. The only thing you need is: a pair of red- pumps and red lipstick. Keep your eyeshadow as natural as possible when you wear red color-lipstick.

Lace up- Valentine

3. Life is all about Love.
I know many Asian girls like to look cute, adorable like a barbie doll instead of  The Girl Next Door kind of look. I got you covered. Here is the as sweet as candy look for you with tube peplum cocktail dress in pink and silver combination. I love how the silver details are placed along the top of the dress. Using that detail on the dress, I chose silver glitter pumps and silver jewelry to match them all together. I doubt your boyfriend can resist you once he see you in this outfit. *wink*
Life is All About Love

4. Live For Love
You are not the dressy-type of girl? Not to worry, this outfit I created is just for you. I know how it feels when it comes to dress up, I feel very troublesome sometimes too. Sometimes, when you are in relationship for so long, you tend to let-loose yourself and be easy in your own comfort zone. In this outfit, I paired a cute printed sweaters with floral jeans which are current popular this season. Love leather cuff, simple chain necklace and ankle cuff- heels are the only things you need to complete this trendy and chic look.

Live For Love

That's all I have for you in this style tip blog entry.
Hope you've found the outfit that you like and wish you a sweet, warm and happy Valentine's Day with your love one.
Love,
Crystal
