Leaving the ZALORA x River Island launch party, I and my girl- Carmen decided to spend the rest of our evening chilling at the most happening place in Singapore: Clarke Quay. We drank, talked to people, played pool and watched the live-band performance. It was a super fun girls' night out indeed.

These outfit photos were taken as spontaneously as how we ended up partying in Clarke Quay that night. I had planned to look my best in the cropped top, pencil skirt, sky high heels and red lipstick to attend the fashion event only as I thought I would be exhausted by the time the event ended. I didn't expect walking along the river heading toward Clarke Quay with upbeat music and beautiful scenery could release my exhaustion so quickly. Besides, seeing the colorful lighting along the river and knowing that it could potentially make a perfect backdrop, I couldn't help but stop for a quick photo shoot. These happened to be the best outfit photos of mine at the right time in the right place. 

And I thought GLAMOUR would be the right word to sum it all up what I wanted to share with you.

Nothing brings me closer to the feeling of femininity and sensuality than a lace skirt. Not only that, but my femininity level is boosted up even higher whenever I put a lace skirt on. I dare not walk so big steps as I'm afraid the fragile lacy fabric will be torn any moment. The beautiful delicate floral lace over lay on the black pencil skirt added a romantic twist to the entire outfit that I was wearing. From romantic look for a Friday date night to a fun, flirty minis on Saturday evening, this sexy fabric piece is all you need. And don't think lace skirts aren't appropriate for work. Whoever said that office attires should only be conservative with black, white, grey pants, shirts or skirts obviously didn't know how to dress up. 

I wore this beautiful lace skirt to work last week and absolutely loved how it made me feel so motivated, confident and professional when meeting with few clients in a day.  In fact, lace outfits aren't new. They have been around for the longest time and have been coming back every single year. Yet, people never get bored of this trend. I know I haven't grown tired of them, not any time soon. Even though, I don't wear it very often but lace skirts, dresses or tops are always one of my most favorites list and I find it difficult to count how many lace outfits I have owned so far.

A day by the bay is always a good day to me. Last Tuesday was even better when it started off at my all time favorite place: Marina Bay Sands. I and Alicia had a very early morning meeting with client at Starbucks overlooking at the spectacular Marina Bay Sands hotel. Not sure if it was because of the fantastic location that gave my client a good mood or our proficiency at work helped us in closing the deal. But we did it, short and sweet! A good day just got even better. 

 Hanging out at such beautiful places like that, nobody can say "No" to photos-taking time. I know I can't. I even prepared what I wanted to wear a night before for this special outfit of the day shoot. 

Nothing fancy! Just a simple pencil skirt, statement silk embroidery blouse with high heels for sophisticated, polished and professional look. On a fine day when you are looking at your overwhelming wardrobe and not knowing what to wear for work (just like me), grab your favorite pencil skirt and work your way up. The pencil skirt is such an amazing versatile staple that it can make you look casual, sexy, elegant or professional within a blink of an eye. 

 With that said, I strongly recommend you to get at least, 1 -3 pencil skirts in your wardrobe for your work- play - party purposes. You can click here to see how I was wearing my pencil skirt.

Hi everyone,

The previous blog entry of Crystal's Closet, I talked about my winter white outfit and was lucky enough to have my outfit featured on Pose (a popular fashion community for fashion lovers) together with Catt Sadler (E-news host), Chriselle Lim, Anna James from Fash Boulevard and many other well-known fashion bloggers around the globe. I felt extremely honored. 



But now, winter is about to end soon. Time for Spring, the season of love, rebirth, rejuvenation, regrowth. Personally, I think all the pastel colors, floral trend are going to come back and before it happens, I have my very own Pre-spring outfit pretty in pink.  



Chiffon pink blouse and black pencil skirt are always the most wearable pieces for anyone. 




Adding more details with the lacy gold necklace. 


and a simple spiky bracelet with matching color rings 


Black & gold belt to accentuate the waist. 


That was my simple Pre-Spring outfit I wore last week. In two week time, I won't be able to wear such soft and light outfits, instead I will be covered up with faux fur, leather, legging, boots and socks to protect myself from the 8-10degree Celsius all day long in Hanoi. I'm so excited about this yearly trip even though I hate staying in the cold for too long. Will update you guys more photos of my winter outfit when I'm there :D
