GET YOUR SEXY BACK WITH MARIE FRANCE BODYLINE

GET YOUR SEXY BACK WITH MARIE FRANCE BODYLINE

Advertorial

Are you fat?
Are you upset about your chubby look?
You keep on dieting but you still gain weight crazily?
You are losing your confidence because of your over-sized body?

HOW? HOW? HOW?

I don't know! I'm sorry, lolz...

But I know someone who really can help you with your weight problem. They are *jeng jeng jeng*

Who else but Marie France Bodyline (MFB)? Actually, I don't need to introduce much about this company because they are already too popular, everyone knows or at least hears about them. So, listen! I'm gonna share with you a very exciting news:

"I'm going to have a complete slimming and firming package sponsored by Marie France Bodyline" Muahahahaha!!!!

Jealous not?

Last week, I and few other bloggers visited their branch in Orchard. It was our first meeting with MFB team to find out more about their company products and services. Honestly, I felt very honored to be taken care by them.

I guess, the company must be very proud and confident in their products which have already been proven by a real life story. They made me feel good too when I first stepped inside.

Receptionist area! Pretty cozy and nice ambiance.

Snapped some photos of their in-house products and I found this!

Does it look familiar? Yeah, it does! I received the BodyTech Perfectionist Serum from last time attending Audi Fashion Festival- Francis Cheong couture  which was sponsored by MFB too :D I haven't used it tho'. The one above is BodyTech Circulatory Gel also from the BodyTech Perfectionist System seriesThey both look almost the same in terms of packaging but have different unique functions and both are one of their top selling slimming treatments.

 Serum

MFB consultant- Fiona was introducing about the company to us- bloggers. At the same time, she was being "terrorized" by many questions from us. I wasn't surprised at how she managed to answer all easily. Experience!

A happy group photo

We were taken to visit their entire place. My God, I didn't know that they have so many treatment rooms inside. Look at the deco on the door? So elegant! Each room even has a name itself.

After introduction and other necessary procedures, it's time for our ONE- TO- ONE consultation. Saying one-to-one consultation, I mean each of us will have our private session with a professional consultant to understand about personal weight loss target and unique problems. Then, they will have individually tailored slimming program for each and everyone. I love this! This is why MFB is very much different from other slimming companies.

C'mon! I'm sure you happen to see a lot of weight loss treatment packages at S$xxx advertisement around. Those companies are just lazy because they want to save time and cost, they apply 1 standard package to everyone. That is so wrong! How could a 70kg girl fits into a ready-made dress size S? At first, I thought MFB would do the same but they proved me wrong.

First, I got my body composition analysis done

I guess they must be very disappointed because I'm not fat enough for them to show their awesome skills and products. -_-. What to do? I'm a sporty person, my fitness result almost closes to perfection 84/100. I'm absolutely healthy! But if you think I don't need their professional service, you are wrong!

I got  fat arms and fat tummy now, ssshhhhhhhhhh

I really need to reduce fat on those areas, wtf! I hate looking at my fatty arms in the photos :( Please help me to settle it!

Fiona is giving me more infos about what needs to be done for my body.
Know what? Besides helping me to slim down on my tummy and arms, MFB is so damn generous, they even assign a personal consultant to watch out my dieting, to supervise my progress and to advise me how to take care and maintain the result. Awesome to the max!

A bur photo of me while being interviewed by Omy.sg. We did some filming works on that day in fact.

1, 2, 3 action.

At last, we both were so into the real conversation til the camera man said "Stop" but we were still in "Action", lolz. It was pretty fun time I had with the omy.sg and MFB team.

Camwhoring with Sabrina, one of the fashion, beauty bloggers

Now, you guys shall wait til I'm back from my Krabi trip, I'm gonna have my 1st treatment with MFB next week. I really can't wait for it.
I'm flying to Krabi in 5 hours time, muahhahaha!!!! Have a great weekend all!

MY FAVORITE ACUPUNCTURE CLINIC

MY FAVORITE ACUPUNCTURE CLINIC

Advertorial

Ever tried any acupuncture treatment in Singapore?
There are tons in Singapore, which one I should go?
Where is the best acupuncture clinic in Singapore? Is it safe? Is it painful? How much does it cost?
And lastly, Is it effective?

Seriously, I never give a stare at any acupuncture clinic at all. Neither in Vietnam, Malaysia or Singapore -_-.

You can say I'm coward but I'm scared of the pain. What's so wrong with that?

I had phobia when I was bitten by a big dog when i was at 15 years old (his height was up to my waist for your info) and I gotta go for a vaccine once every week for a  month or two without fail. Every vaccine day was hell to me because I was freaked out when i saw that long needle pricked into my body *Ouch*. And that when I hated doctors too.

Since then, I have been being so scared of acupuncture because It's the treatment done by the stupid needles and I thought it must be very painful too.

Cut the long story short, I meant I have never gone to any acupuncture clinic for the past 27 years.

Only after I hurt my arm during the badminton games, it was painful for the whole week and every morning I woke up, pain. Carry heavy thing like a laptop bag! Pain!. Raise the arm upward, pain! I thought my arm was useless already -_-.

Coincidentally, I went to see my client on Tuesday last two weeks and he owns a acupuncture clinic called.

Never had any intention to go for acupuncture either, but I talked to him about my arm pain after we finished talking about the business, he then offered me one session to cure the pain. Swear to God, I didnt know why at that point of time, I had enough courage to try out the first time acupuncture. I trusted him as he said "No, it's not painful at all". Ok! Fine!

Here is my client, Mr. Kuo getting prepare for all the necessary stuffs.

Those needles were stung into my body. Ewww*

There, he was about to start...

I couldn't take a clearer photo because I couldn't move.

After approximately 15 minutes, all was done and the pain was even much more until i barely stood up. Thank God, I just had to stay in place for about 20 minutes, after that he withdrew all the needles out and told me. "It's done!". At that point, I felt I was alive again!

It wasn't so quickly effective that my arm could move easily again at that time but I loved the feeling of the needle stung into the right painful part. The pain kills the pain, that's kinda feeling :D

Two weeks later which is now, i only have time to write a blog about his clinic. Mr Kuo must be wondering, "when the hell this girl is going to write something up since I offered her free service", lolz....*I'm just kidding.

Seriously, this is the statement I have to make! The next day after my acupuncture treatment, the pain was just completely GONE like a magic! :-O
I'm not joking neither giving extra words because he sponsored me the service. No No No! I even told my boyfriend about it. It was just so amazing! I kept asking myself, how could all the needles do that work? I dont even need to apply any medicine, cream. Nothing!

For that reason, I think I need to shout out to his clinic to public. Check it out!

Mr. KUO was rearranging the pillow, bed sheet as one patient had just left.

A small clinic but very clean and tidy! I like :)

Many tokens, trophies, certificates he achieved a long the way. Fyi, he is also the director of Singapore Chinese Acupuncture Research Intuition. Got name and title ok!

Chinese medicine for those who need

Feng shui kitty welcomes you at the entrance! I put the fake eye-lashes for her. Doesn't she look much prettier now?

Reception area!

Last but not least, the man who runs the clinic! Mr. Kuo T. H or you can call him Thomas. He is very nice, kind-hearted person, you'll feel warm when talking to him, he looks like my grandfather :)

There are some questions you might want to ask:
- How much does it cost?
Around S$60/ acupuncture treatment. Am not sure if it includes the medicine. You might have to ring him and ask. Tel: 6227 1303. And oh, don't forget to mention to "CRYSTAL PHUONG" when you see him, he'll treat my blog readers as special as how he treated me. :)

- Where is the clinic located?
It's next to Novena Medical Center, Square 2 #03-47, 10 Sinaran drive, Not difficult to find his clinic at all.

- Does he has website?
Nope, currently he doesn't have any website. But he has put up his clinic profile on Streetdirectory.com. Click HERE!

That's all for now! Any question, you feel free to drop me a comment here!

POWER OVER CERVICAL CANCER

POWER OVER CERVICAL CANCER

I'm gonna attend the biggest pink party ever in Singapore on this 24 July in Zouk organized by Power Over Cervical Cancer and I'm pretty excited and looking forward to it!

Reason for attending? Well, I must confess that the only reason attracts me at first to attend this party is the pink theme. Everyone knows me in real or from my blog know i love pink. Seriously! How good to be surrounded with all the pink stuffs! Am thrilled! ^_^

The party will start from 8.30pm to 10.30pm with so many happening things: fashion show, Magic Show, Pole-dancing performances, freebies, etc...Omg! *Faint*

So, any girl who is free on this Saturday MUST join this party!

Photobucket

There are only limited tickets up for grab so be hurry to secure your entry :) I wish to see all you girls there in pink and we'll do a massive pink camwhore session, lolz....

Those girls/ aunties/ wives/ mommies who are busy with other things on that date, who don't really like pink that much, who don't even care or have time to care much about your own body, you MUST attend this event too!

There is another reason which makes me feel more eager to attend this party is not only because of the pink stuffs but also a lesson about the thing called "Cervical Cancer"

"What the hell is that?" I talked to myself when i first glanced at the party flyer. And then, i had little time to read through the website about cervical cancer. I was stunned!

It's like almost 200 new cases diagnosed every year in Singapore. So means, you or I can get infected Cervical Cancer anytime, anywhere regardless of age, blood type, lifestyle, genre or anything. Cervical Cancer can happen to anyone and it can kill!!!!!! Good God, so what the hell is Cervical Cancer?

Here you go!

* What is Cervical Cancer?

Cervical cancer is a disease that affects the cervix in the female reproductive system. The cervix is about 2 inches length is the lower portion of the uterus that connects the upper vagina to the uterus. During childbirth, the cervix dilates, allowing the baby to travel from the uterus to the vagina.

Cervical cancer begins in cells on the surface of the cervix. Over time, the cervical cancer can invade more deeply into the cervix and nearby tissues. The cancer cells can spread by breaking away from the original (primary) tumor. They enter blood vessels or lymph vessels, which branch into all the tissues of the body. The cancer cells may attach to other tissues and grow to form new tumors that may damage those tissues. The spread of cancer is called metastasis.

Cut it short, see the photo:

and here how the cervical cancer looks at different stages.

 Mad gross!

Ever wonder why we women have this kind of cancer while men don't? Because men dont have vagina, as simple as that. But look, here are some serious factors and causes of cervical cancer that you to seriously think about:

1. HPV (Human Papillomavirus) a group of viruses that can infect the cervix. These viruses are passed from person to person through sexual contact. Most adults have been infected with HPV at some time in their lives. So tell me if you would never have sex in your life? Not possible!

2. Lack of regular Pap tests: Cervical cancer is more common among women who don't have regular Pap tests. The Pap test helps doctors find abnormal cells.

3. Smoking: Among women who are infected with HPV, smoking cigarettes slightly increases the risk of cervical cancer.

4. Weakened immune system (the body's natural defense system): Infection with HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) or taking drugs that suppress the immune system increases the risk of cervical cancer.

5. Sexual history. Women who have had many sexual partners OR a woman who has had sex with a man who has had many sexual partners may be at higher risk of developing cervical cancer. So what you need to do? Say "Condom"! :D

6. Using birth control pills for a long time: Using birth control pills for a long time (5 or more years) may slightly increase the risk of cervical cancer among women with HPV infection. However, the risk decreases quickly when women stop using birth control pills.

7. Having many children: Studies suggest that giving birth to many children (5 or more) may slightly increase the risk of cervical cancer among women with HPV infection.

So many factors -_- So how a person knows whether she is infected by Cervical Cancer? Simple!

There are few early stage symptoms of Cervical Cancer for you to discover:
* abnormal vaginal bleeding, including post-coital bleeding
* pain during sexual intercourse, however this can be common and unrelated to cervical cancer
* pelvic pain
* heavy vaginal discharge

I you ever have such symptoms, do consult the doctor near you for advice. For now, i think the best way is to visit Power Over Cervical Cancer to find out more infos. You can either read the information in the website or give them a call for any advice.

HOW TO HAVE A PERFECT HEALTH?

HOW TO HAVE A PERFECT HEALTH?

I received this precious email from friend as lately I have had some problems with my health. I don't want to tell it too detailed, but it does SERIOUS and makes me worry and sick so much. And I was really confused and felt hopeless when I couldn't find any solution how to have good health (before that i never take care of my health seriously because I thought I'm strong :() Only when problems came, i realized that I was in emergency. And this is the time, I HAVE TO take care of my health immediately. So these are the things I should do to protect my health and I think You SHOULD do it too, because nobody has no disease in our body. So better take care of our health before it's too late.

HOW TO HAVE A PERFECT GOOD HEALTH DAY???
7.30 a.m. Get up.
Researchers at the University of Westminster found that, regardless of what time they go to bed, people who rise between 5.22am and 7.21am have higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol in their bloodstream. Cortisol makes you more prone to stress-induced heart attacks, so waking up after 7.21am could offer protection. Switch on a light'
Exposing yourself to light as soon as you wake will reset the body clock which governs our sleeping and waking patterns,' says Professor Jim Horne, who runs the Sleep Research Centre at Loughborough University. Have a glass of water.
Water is needed for thousands of chemical processes in the body. A deficiency can cause headaches, dry skin and sore eyes. A glass in the morning offsets night-time dehydration.
7.30 a.m. - 8 a.m. Brush your teeth before breakfast.
This prevents dental erosion from food by coating the teeth with protective fluoride. Otherwise, wait half an hour after breakfast.
8 a.m. - 8.30 a.m. Eat breakfast'
Never miss this meal as you need to stabilize blood sugar levels,' says Dr Kevin Whelan, a dietitian and lecturer in natural sciences at King's College London. Try porridge oats - they have a low glycemic index, which means they release energy slowly to make you feel fuller for longer. Apply sun screen'
Even on cloudy or cool days, the skin can be damaged by UV rays,' says Dr Colin Holden, president of the British Association of Dermatologists. 'UVB causes skin cancer and an SPF of 15 or above will help to protect you.'
8.30 a.m. - 9 a.m. Avoid the gym
Researchers at Brunel University in Middlesex found that athletes who train early in the morning may be more vulnerable to infections, because the immune system is at its weakest at this time. Walk to work.
A team at the University of Massachusetts medical school found that people who walked every day had 25 percent fewer colds than those who were sedentary.
9 a.m. - 9.30 a.m. Take off your jacket.
Tight clothes can distort posture and lead to backache, says Robin Shepherd, acting chairman of the General Osteopathic Council.
9.30 a.m. Start your most difficult tasks.
Make a start on any demanding mental activities. Researchers at the Sleep-Wake Disorders Centre in New York found most people are at their most alert one to two hours after waking.
10.30 a.m. Take a screen break.
If you use a computer, take three-minute vision breaks at least once an hour, says Dr Kevin Lewis, of the College of Optometrists. The lens of the eye is held by a muscle, which pushes and pulls it. When we read on a screen, the focusing mechanism is locked in place. As a result, the muscle can tire, leading to eye strain. 'Our blinking rate - needed to keep the eye moist - also diminishes when we look at a computer screen leading to tired, gritty eyes,' he says.
11 a.m. Have a piece of fruit.
This is the best way to tackle mid-morning sugar cravings. Have one dark green vegetable, such as spinach, and one orange or red fruit every day. The iron from the veg almost quadruples the body's absorption of vitamin C in the fruit.
12 p.m. Have beans on toast.
You need a lunch to satisfy your appetite and provide slow-release energy. 'Baked beans are full of fiber and the tomato sauce means they count as one portion of fruit and veg,' says Dr Whelan. Chew sugar-free gum.
This stimulates the flow of saliva, which contains minerals that protect enamel under attack from sweet or acidic foods. Researchers at Glasgow Caledonian University found chewing gum suppresses appetite. Those containing Xylitol reduce harmful bacteria.
2.30 p.m. - 3.30 p.m. Take a nap.
Our body clock is designed to have a dip in wakefulness. A University of Athens study found that people who took a nap for 30 minutes or more at least three times a week were 37 per cent less likely to die from heart disease.
4 p.m. Have a pot of yogurt.
This will steady blood-sugar levels and prevent a post-work binge. Probiotic yogurts may help maintain the gut by redressing the balance of bad bacteria. 'But choose diet yogurts over low-fat ones, which can contain more sugar,' says Dr Whelan. Interspersing mid-morning and afternoon snacks with three main meals may protect the heart. According to the Medical Research Council's Human Nutrition Unit, fatty acids in the blood remain stable when you eat little and often - this avoids the peaks and troughs linked to heart disease.
5 p.m. - 7 p.mGo to the gym.
According to our body clock, this is the best time to exercise, says says Dr Rav Naik, an orthopaedic sports physician and GP in Sheffield. 'Our core body temperature is at its optimal level, which mean the heart and lung function at their best, muscles are warm, tendons are flexible, reaction time is at its sharpest, and the stress hormone cortisol, which can damage the immune system, is low.' Swimming is particularly good. A 20-minute session burns 240 calories, as well as give the body a full muscle and aerobic workout.
7 p.m. Have a daily post-work drink.
Researchers at University College London found those who drink moderately and regularly have significantly sharper thought processes than teetotallers. This may be because alcohol can increase blood flow to the brain and so improve mental function.
7.30 p.m. Have a light dinner.
A large meal of carbohydrates prompts a rise in blood sugar and puts the digestive system into overdrive, affecting sleep. 'It can take seven hours for food to go from the mouth into the small intestine. Too many carbohydrates can lead to fermentation in the gut, resulting in bloating and possibly disrupted sleep,' says Dr Whelan. Opt instead for a meal high in vegetables, with smaller portions of carbohydrates and protein. Eat slowly and chew properly. 'It takes 15 minutes for your brain to recognize your stomach is full, so if you rush your food you can end up eating far more,' he says.
9.45 p.m. Switch off the TV.
This will prevent over-stimulation of the brain that could lead to disrupted sleep. Avoid watching TV in bed for the same reason.
11 p.m. Have a warm bath'.
Body temperature needs to fall in order to help us sleep. Though the bath itself is warm, stepping out of the water will immediately cool the body,' says Professor Jim Horne, of the Sleep Research Centre at Loughborough University.
11.30 p.m. Go to bed.
This will allow you up to eight hours' sleep if you are getting up at 7.30am. Though there is no set amount of time an adult needs to sleep, Professor Horne points out that on average men should sleep for around seven hours and women for seven hours and 20 minutes.

It's important to get more than five hours' sleep if you want to stay slim.
A study by Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, found that women who sleep five or fewer hours per night are at risk of major weight gain. This may be because sleeping less may affect changes in the basal metabolic rate (the number of calories you burn when you rest). Keeping to the same bedtime will also help synchronize your body clock so you sleep well.

Make sure your bedroom is dark.
This will maximize production of the sleep hormone melatonin. Keep the room relatively cool and avoid thick nightwear or heavy blankets. 'When body temperature is raised, it is more difficult to fall asleep,' says Prof Horne. If, after 15 minutes, you find you can't get to sleep, read or do a jigsaw by a dim light.
P/S: Million thanks to Jacky who sent this email to me. I'm trying to do it daily. Thank once again:)
