In the previous blog post, I announced that my blog is currently listed in Top 10 Singapore Best Fashion Blog, Levi's Best 501 Interpretation Blog and Glossi Best Modeling Blog of Singapore Blog Award 2013, I hope I have already had your support by now. But even if you aren't sure whether or not I deserve your vote, take your time and read on. 

In this blog entry, I'm going to share with you my person Levi's 501 Interpretation which I found it very interesting and challenging at the same time. Before the award finalists were announced officially, we attended a casual meeting with Levi's & Omy peeps to get more information about the brand and to take a look at what's new in store. Looking at their latest collection, I was so excited to think about how should I wear Levi's jeans. Suddenly, I was told that there isn't any 501 jeans for women sold in Singapore, they are only for men *sad face*, I then realized this could be a big challenge as it's impossible for me to fit into man's jeans even in the smallest size. How? 

After visiting Levi's store twice last week and spending a week to brainstorm my outfit idea, I finally had my perfect Levi's 501 Interpretation to share with you. And so, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! 

Here is how I wore Levi's 501 men jeans! 

I used to wear slim fit jeans as I believed they would give me extra height credits and make me look sexy. Levi's 501 proved me wrong! 

Never thought of wearing a comfortable pair of jeans could still look so fashionable and chic! I love how much comfort the jeans give me especially around the waist area yet never lose their silhouette. Also, the large pockets are brilliant ideas for me to keep my iPhone whilst strong stitchings make me feel the power of a modern woman. When pairing 501 jeans with a blazer, they seem to make a perfect match!

Just in case you don't know, this is called boyfriend jeans style which is making a huge trend right now.  Suddenly I felt, wearing boyfriend jeans has never been easier and every girl should have at least one boyfriend jeans in her wardrobe. I have one for myself now! Thank you Levi's 501!

After all, you still hesitate to wear them because of your curve and height? I have some good advices for you on "How to wear boyfriend jeans?"

1. Find the jeans that fit your waist area and opt for straight cut. Make sure they are not too baggy. 

2. Don't be afraid to roll them up to create cropped look. Boyfriend jeans look great when they are rolled and paired with everything. 

3. Blazers and T-shirts are boyfriend jeans' best friends. While blazers will give you chic and stylish look, T-shirts will make you feel more casual and relaxing. 

4. Accessories are keys to give you more feminine touch. I chose statement necklace since the rest of the outfit are pretty simple. 

5. If you are petite like me, NEVER go out without a pair of high heels. They will always make you look taller and sexier.

In short, have you had any pair of Levi's 501 jeans yet? If not, I suggest you should get one for yourself. Or better still, buy one for your boyfriend and you can wear his jeans *Psstt, it's a secret*. How excited it is to think about wearing your boyfriend's jeans without him knowing it! I find it really cool.

Hi everyone, 

I have an announcement to make and it's a HUGE excitement I would like to share it with you! I'm sure some of you already knew what it's all about but I still feel that I should make an official announcement on my blog. 

It all started in April this year when Omy.SG - a Singapore's first bilingual-friendly (Chinese & English) interactive web portal by Singapore Press Holding (SPH) announced the return of Singapore Blog Award (SBA), I registered my blog under 3 categories which are relevant to my blog content: Singapore Best Fashion Blog, Levi's 501 Best Interpretation (sponsored by Levi's) and Glossi Best Modeling Blog (sponsored by Nanyang Optical). Despite, my blog managed to get into top 10 Best Fashion Blogs in 2012 , I wasn't sure if I would have any luck this year as I saw the large number of nominations. And so, I didn't announce anything just yet. 

Nevertheless

To my surprise, my blog was shortlisted in the top 10 of not only 1 but 3 CATEGORIES:

 1. BEST FASHION BLOG

There are only few days left to wrap up everything for July, not sure about you but I'm already in the mood for celebration. I can't wait for it to end soon seriously. There were a lot of tear, hard work, pain, patience, encouragement, support and breakdown...in July. 

Everything, you name it! 

It has been so challenging that sometimes I felt like giving up. I couldn't handle it, I couldn't cope with it anymore. But I was wrong. I managed to go through every single challenge and stood still in the end. 

Now I feel like I was such a brave captain who successfully sailed my small boat through a vicious storm in the darkness to the beautiful island. Some friends ever asked me "What is your secret of keeping yourself so strong mentally". There is no secret actually, you just need to constantly remind yourself  "I'm strong. It's ok. I can do it! Things will be fine" everyday. Yes! It's a everyday reminder and I've been practicing that for years every time I have any problem. That inner voice will give you incredible strength to overcome anything in your life. Everyone of us will have choices. Some choose to say "No, I can't do it. I'm weak. I'm gonna loose, I'm gonna die" and that's what defines them as "Weakness". Subconsciously, it becomes their habit in dealing with problems. Habits will become characters, attitudes and so on. So, practice the good, positive energy and thinking everyday and let it change your life. 

Anyway, let me share with you my last week activity, it was pretty fun week I had. Nothing fancy besides spending time with people that I love and attending some memorable events. I was too busy last Monday and I couldn't have time for outfit photo taking. Sorry guys, gonna jump to Tuesday instead. 

I was walking down the street with Mr. Mustache in my favorite chiffon top and skinny pants. Who is "Mr. Mustache"? Oh, he is sitting on my hand lolz. Just kidding. It's actually the gold mustache ring from Accessorize and I love it. Not forget to mention the hair accessories, don't you notice?

It was really fun event and I managed to meet up with some bloggers who I used to communicate via Twitter only. They are so friendly, so nice and cool.

Though my blog didn't win at this year Blog Award but I'm still very happy and proud to be one of the top 3 most voted blogs during the voting period. That support and love mean a lot to me than any title. I can't promise anything yet but I'm sure it will be exciting. 

Talk about my very beautiful and special dress I wore that day, it's fully handmade by Zardoze, a high-end Singapore based brand that will be launched on 31st August. Their products are fully focused on hand crafted embellishments and high quality fabrics. All the details at the back of my dress were handmade too. Can you tell how much hardwork and patience needed? I'm sure there are tons. 

According to the company, their type of embellishment work is an art form in itself, inspired the name Zardoze, derived from the royal art form of gold embroidery. Each collection foretells an unique story, individually brought forward by their culturally diverse team of designers. I felt in love with all of their designs when I first looked into their lookbook. Amazing stuffs they have.
