Hello everyone,
How was your New Year's Eve celebration last night? I had such a great time celebrating New Year's Eve with my boyfriend, who made an effort to arrange a New Year's Eve dinner at a secret location for both of us. All I had to do was to look happy and fabulous for the night. I picked this Three Floor feminin dress from the 3 outfit choices that I had prepared for New Year's Eve a few days ago (read it here). We went to Wooloomooloo Steakhouse at Swissotel the Stamford, had a delicious 5-course meal dinner, drank some wines, watched fireworks and shared the magical moment with many other people at the bar.
It was the best New Year's Eve celebration that I've ever had. No drama, no sadness, only love, happiness, and smiles.
No matter where you are, I hope you had a wonderful time last night. Please continue to be awesome, to chase your goals, and to be happy. Thank you so much for connecting with me, being my friends, my supporters and my motivation. I wish you and your family a very happy New Year with lots of laughter, love and success!
2014 is soon coming to an end and 2015 is just around the corner. Have you decided what to wear for New Year's Eve yet? I know some girls may feel lazy to go through the whole process of searching for a perfect dress. But believe me, it will be all worth it.
New Year's Eve is the most magical, memorable and meaningful night of the year. It's the time for us to reflect, to celebrate and to wish for the best things in our life. Whether you have a count down party at your friend's house, in a restaurant or in a club, you should totally dress your best to celebrate the night away. A sexy little black dress or a red sequin dress would hurt nobody. If you still haven't had any idea of what to wear on this special day, I have here 3 outfits that might help to put an end to your what-to-wear dilemma.
1. Red Is A New Black
A little less formal than a floor-length gown, but more dressy than pants, a jumpsuit is always my ultimate choice whenever I need to look formal and feel comfortable for an event or a party. It's such an effortlessly chic and sophisticated outfit. Why red jumpsuit, you ask? Well, what color is more appropriate for a party and celebration than red? If you love being a center of attention, then this red jumpsuit is definitely your style.
Recently, tulle has been such a huge trend. As a statement piece itself, tulle skirt can make any girl look like a princess who just steps out of the fairytale. Pairing a tulle skirt with a motor leather jacket for a perfect boy-meets-girl look, I'm pretty sure this outfit will make you become a head-turner of the night.
If sequin and loud colors are not your things, opt for an outfit in a neutral color like :black, gray or beige. But wait! What if we combine all three colors together? Three Floor has an answer for you. This statement dress from Three Floor is currently my favorite. I love the creative, asymmetrical wrap skirt with zip detail and the crew neckline. Such a statement dress like this deserve to be worn on a very special night like New Year's Eve.
There you have it! Three outfit ideas for one special night. Which one is your favorite? Do you have any favorite outfit in mind? Please share with me at the comments section below.
The traveling season is here! Even if you don't travel anywhere during this Christmas or New Year's (like me), there are many long weekends next year, waiting for you ahead. Like many people, I love everything about traveling except for packing. It's more fun thinking about the journey than worrying about what to and what not to bring. I used to be a real-life example of someone who always packed many redundant things and forgot the most basic necessity. Over time, I got better when I traveled and never left any important item at home. The secret is simple: have a checklist whenever you start packing.
Besides check-in luggage, a carry-on luggage is the most important thing to me. I lost my check-in luggage before when I flew to Vietnam (I blogged about it here). The only thing I had left with me was my carry-on luggage when I arrived at the destination. I survived the trip with just that luggage.
Want to know what are the must-have items inside my luggage? Here is a list for you!
These photos were taken 4 weeks ago by my new photographer, Ivan, whose photos will be seen more on this blog. I wanted to publish them as soon as I received the photos from Ivan, but I tried my best to control the excitement and to keep them until today.
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, and whenever we talk about Christmas, we'll talk about snow. I have never seen real snow in my life. The last time I visited US during Christmas, I was so looking forward to seeing snow. Unfortunately, it was so disappointing that there was no snow during my trip. Singapore is hot all year round and has no snow at all, but that doesn't mean we can't have white Christmas, can we?
Having that thought in mind, I decided to reserve this beautiful white jumpsuit and white cape blazer especially for this Christmas photo shoot. It started pouring rain when I and Ivan went out to shoot at night. Regardless, the show must go on. The initial plan of shooting outdoors to capture the beautiful sparkling Orchard road was changed to indoor shooting instead. Thank God, there was a magical curtain of lights perfectly appropriate as a backdrop for these Christmas postcard photos.
I'd like to dedicate this special blog post to you, my dearest friends, readers and supporters. Best wishes to you and your family. May your Christmas and all days ahead sparkle with happiness and surprise.
Finally, I have a chance to feature the Phillip Lim Pashli purple bag on my blog. This beautiful bag is a reward to myself for a collaboration I did with Shopbop a couple of months ago. I've been looking for a purple handbag for a long time, yet haven't found one that I really like. Either the color, the shape or the size isn't up to my liking. I shortlisted two bags: the Balenciaga giant city bag and the Givenchy satchel one. While I was thinking of which one should I buy, I saw the Phillip Lim Pashli bag on Shopbop. It comes in a perfect shade of purple, the right size (medium), and the right shape. It's exactly what I wanted.
I used to love pink, but now I tend to go for stronger and more vibrant colors. Purple is one of them. It is such a mature, romantic and passionate color. I usually like pairing it with other complimentary colors to create a color-blocked outfit, but this time I decided to play with textures. The thick sturdy cow leather bag seems to make a perfect match with the delicate lace top. Besides, the white lace top also adds extra romance factor to the entire outfit, and my bag compliments some pops of purple color on my floral skirt.
I was worried if this outfit was too busy to look at, but I was surprised to see how well it turned out in the end.
