{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: FUCHSIA MEETS PURPLE

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: FUCHSIA MEETS PURPLE

When Fuchsia color meets Purple, it will result the beautiful outfit that you are seeing on this blog entry. There is something else I love about this outfit. It's a hidden story behind an ordinary color-combination. While Fuchsia is like a girl at the age of 20 with lot of  energy, passion, confidence and love, Purple represents a woman with maturity, sensitivity, understanding and compassion. Be it a "fuchsia" girl or a "purple" woman, these two are always passionate, romantic, sensual and loving, a type of girl who always knows what she wants and how to get it. I would like to think of myself as a combination of both. I've just celebrated my 29th birthday not long ago. At the age of 29, I still have lot of energy, enthusiasm, passion and confidence in everything I do but no longer act spontaneously and emotionally like a 20 years old girl toward certain things. I have learned to be more understanding, more mature and to think carefully before I speak. I'm now more romantically "purple" than playfully and sensually "fuchsia" (if this even makes any sense at all) especially when it comes to relationship, I don't look for a perfection, I look at the imperfection perfectly instead and appreciate whatever I have.

As being afraid of "too much of anything is bad", I tried to balance the Furple (Fuchsia + Purple) outfit with the white knitted sweater.  White is the color of purity, encouragement, protection and wholeness. It helps to cleanse, purify our thoughts, emotions, spirit and puts us back to where is called "Positive thinking" again. That explains why I love this color so much and subconsciously, I keep coming back to my white outfits whenever I feel the need to clear my clutter and obstacles away.

Designer Rachael Zoe once said: "Style is a way telling to the world who you are without having to speak". I don't know if this outfit is good enough to tell you who I truly am. I hope it did.

Thank you so much for reading. Now, get this look here:

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: FUCHSIA PANTS FOR SUMMER

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: FUCHSIA PANTS FOR SUMMER

Hi everyone,

Summer- my most favorite season of the year is finally here! I remember when I was in Vietnam, the only season I was looking forward to was Summer so that I could wear shorts, dresses and go to beach, enjoy the sun and the sea. In Singapore, we have Summer all year round but it's still excited to think about the whole world is enjoying the sun, beaches, vacation  and of course...the heat.

In fashion, Summer is also one of the most exciting seasons that gives lot of inspiration and creativity to brands, designers to come up with brilliant collections. For us as bloggers, stylists, we have chance to rock many bright, colorful and lively outfits, to go crazy with many different styles, shapes and designs on our outfit pairing. Not forget to mention this is the only season for us to flaunt our hot body in the sexilious bikini. YES! This is why I love Summer very much.

Last week, I went shopping in ZARA to check out their Spring/ Summer collection and I was so attracted to their bright- bold corner. I brought one of the items home: Fuchsia pants. It's a unique and statement piece credited to the vibrant color and is not often worn by many people .  So how and what to wear with fuchsia pants? I have some style tips and suggestions for you here:

Check out the simple pairing wore last week.

Basic colors like black, white or beige are the best matches with fuchsia if you want to go for more subtle and simple look.

Highlighted my outfit with same color accessories (necklace, bracelet, belt). Again! You just want the pants to get full attention, not anything else.

Shirt: Dolce Gabbana (old)
Handbag: Forever New (old)
Shoes: ALDO - Similar here and here
Necklace: Strings of Glamour (old)- Bracelet: Max & Chloe

First time trying on fuchsia pants for work and I already fell in love with them. I was reluctant to wear them to office at first as I was afraid the color was too bright, but they turned out to be perfectly fine :D. I'll come back with more pairings for this fun and bold piece.

What do you think about this look? Would you wear it at all? Please share with me in the comment section.
I have many great news to share with you guys but my mouth is sealed until 27th May :D. I'm so excited! :D

Thank you very much for reading guys!
Talk to you in the next outfit post soon!

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: FLORAL PRINT

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: FLORAL PRINT

Hi everyone,

This is going to be a very short blog entry from me as I only have 1 hour left before heading to the airport. I'm going to Houston tonight if some of you already heard me mentioning on Facebook/ Twitter a week ago. It was a crazily busy day for me today. I had only 9 hours to finish my 3 meetings in the afternoon, to get my nails done, to buy a laptop bag and of course to pack. Well, guess what? I completed all the tasks in 7 hours only. I'm so proud of my multi-tasking skill, lolz.

Now, when I'm having some time to relax and not to worry about anything. I START FEELING EXCITED about this trip! My boyfriend has been asking me many time "Are you excited?" but I was too occupied with things to feel anything. The only one thing that I'm not excited about: 28 hours flight :(.

I'll keep you guys posted whenever I can, but til the next blog entry (which I don't know when), here is the outfit post for you:

I wore this floral bodycon dress to work and finished it with a blazer for a semi-formal look. My job requires me to meet with many advertisers, clients, sponsors in a day so dressing up formally is usually a must. Fortunately, I don't have to strictly follow black pants- white shirt kinda corporate outfit everyday, so I have my freedom to wear whichever is appropriate and looks good on me.

This is one example.

Turquoise & gold arm-swag.

A big smile for the day.

And the super sweet floral handbag from Kate Spade.

Oh, I also managed to find my old statement necklace which happens to match with the colors of the flowers.

When taking off the blazer, this would by the type of outfit I will wear for the night out.

What do you think about this semi-formal outfit? Please leave me some comments in the comment section below.

That's all for today, guys. It's time for me to go to airport, I'll talk to you guys real soon.
Muahxxxx
Love,
Crystal

Crystal's Closet: Hot Pink & Lace

Crystal's Closet: Hot Pink & Lace

Hi everyone!

I hope you had a relaxing weekend and your new week will be great. My weekend was full of activities and events. I was invited to Spiffy Dapper, a vintage bar just newly opened along Boat Quay on Friday, went to attend the OMG Paradise Cover Girl Search contest on Saturday night & went for dance practice on Sunday. I was supposed to attend another beauty event on Friday, but I had to cancel due to my tight schedule *sad face*.

For some reasons, I always receive so many invitations to events, product launch, blogger party, etc.... when my traveling date is near. I'm traveling again, yes! Now, I can finally announce: I'm going to Houston (US) for 1 week of holiday.

As usual, before I travel, I always have tons of things to accomplish and that also means, the new week is going to be crazily busy for me. Oh well, it's good to be busy, isn't it?

Nevertheless, no matter how busy I am, I will try my best to blog whenever I can. For now, here is the new outfit of the day post for you.

Last week, I wore this fuchsia pencil skirt with lace blouse to work. The weather was so hot that even the lace material didn't help to make me feel any cooler. As you may know, I'm a huge fan of lace. I find it extremely sexy, classic and fun. When choosing lace outfit, don't forget to wear a camisole underneath so you don't distract from intricacy from the lace.

I gotta love any skirt with the back split design, so sexy!

Brighten up the black lace with fuchsia statement necklace and arm-candy. Playing with colors & texture is my very often used pairing technique in my daily outfits. You've probably seen many of them if you have been following Crystal's Closet series.
