{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: WEEKLY FASHION (Ep7)

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: WEEKLY FASHION (Ep7)

Hi guys,
Time again for the new weekly wardrobe (WW) episode :D. I can't believe it's Episode 7 already and when it comes to episode 10, I'll probably have some GIVEAWAY stuffs to celebrate. So please stay tuned!

Last week was pretty fun and busy week for me: my parents were around, events to attend, dinner, filming and busy work schedules as usual. How did your week go? I hope it's all good.

Now, let's recap what did I do and what did I wear last week, I got something excited to show you in the end of this entry ;)

Monday!
Basic white shirt and black skirt from ZARA with black bow tie. Trust me, this is one of the most basic looks that anyone can ever had. It's so simple, classic and easy to wear. Don't tell me that you dont have any black skirt or white shirt in your closet at all.

Surprisingly, many celebrities love this look too because it's suitable with anyone, at anywhere, anytime.

Angelina Jolie in satin shirt and leather skirt.

Khloe Kadarshian

Katie Homes with the red shoes while I chose red belt to accessorize

The black bow tie I created is actually inspired by Kim Kadarshian. I find it's interesting and cute on this basic outfit.

Tuesday.
Somehow, I chose black and white again but this outfit is more casual than the first one. I paired up the basic white tank top from ZARA with my full circle skirt and accessorized it with my very own Swarovski crystal DIY collar necklace.
It's dynamic, fun and young. Interesting look huh? Wanna know how I made this collar necklace? Watch my old tutorial HERE

Wednesday!
Pastel colors is always my favorite. It's so light, elegant and refreshing.

Green shoes from The Island Shop I bought it recently at Tang.

Vintage charm bracelet.

Thursday.
Coincidentally I chose to wear green again on Thursday. This is one of my favorite: big ruffle off-shoulder bodycon dress. Absolutely gorgeous! I have worn this dress twice only. The first time was on my birthday last year November :D

Love the detail and cutting at the bottom of the dress, super sexy.

At night, I wore this dress to attend the official launch of Marc Anthony True Professional haircare products. Marc Anthony is celebrity hairstylist who has been styling for so many celebrities i.e Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, Jessica Alba and many more. And his amazing products are gonna be sold exclusively at Watson in June only. You guys definitely gotta check it out the products.

I and Angelique Teo at the red carpet.

with Pris (left) and Sabrina at the event.

This is the amount of products that they gave me to use. My hair is gonna be thrilled!

Friday
Rocking the Hi-Low nude dress with black corset belt and black accessories. I love nude color, it's playful, classy and extremely sexy. If you go clubbing on Friday night with a nude bodycon dress on you, you'll know what I mean. I bet all the eyes will be on you ;).

Friday night, Mike asked me out for a date. We haven't gone out for a date for a long time, I couldn't remember when the last time was but it was nice of him. I always love dating my boyfriend time to time no matter how long we have been together. It's one of the secrets to refresh and spice up the relationship I guess.

I decided to wear a casual bodycon dress with simple make up on. At this stage, you don't need to wear heavy make up to impress the guy anymore :D

He brought me to one of the fine dining restaurants and the foods, the ambience were absolutely perfect.

We happened to order same food (as always).

and I had my yummiest foie gras ever.

Saturday
I woke up early and got prepare for filming Crystal's Closet. That's my make-up and hairdo using Marc Anthony True Professional. That stuffs are amazing in creating curly hair I'm telling you. I love it.

Getting my wardrobe prepared. Tutorial will be up soon.

Sunday
Got my hair colored at Toni& Guys but somehow Mike didn't like it because he said it doesn't look different from my previous hair color at all. So, boo! -_-

So that's it. My awesome and fruitful week. I hope you guys had a great week too and feel free to share with me your favorite moments of the week here. It's the way we inspire and motivate each other.

That's all for now, I'll talk to you guys real soon.
Love,
Crystal

SHOPPING IN BANGKOK

I can't believe there are so many people curious about and interested in knowing what did I buy in Bangkok. And they even knew how much did I spend there. What an era of speedy information spread. So to answer all those "What did you buy?", "How much did you spend?" questions, I'm gonna sum it up through a short video that I'm about to share with you guys in a while.

Initially, I thought of just taking photos of all the stuffs I bought but I ended up being so lazy while looking at them and being astonished "God! That's a lot".  It took me three weeks to get this video up because I had to re-shoot twice. The first video took me an hour and a half to finish filming, and when I was about to turn off the camcorder, I realized the camera wasn't in recording mode at all. That meant; I had been talking about nothing for an hour. Can you imagine how pissed off and frustrated I felt? And I didn't want to continue to re-shoot so I left it undone until I found my mood to shoot that video again which was another week later.

Anyway, some of you have already watched this video as I posted it up a week ago on Youtube. Whoever hasn't done so, please watch it here and enjoy.

If you like my video, please support by clicking on the SUBSCRIBE button below

What do you think about my picks? Many people love it, and I've been wearing all the clothes that I bought for the past three weeks without any repetition :D. I think my shopping skill is getting better and better. A friend of mine even suggested me to be a personal shopper: going for shopping and getting paid. That sounds like a good idea. :D

Last but not least, people asked me "How much did I spend on this trip?". The total amount is  S$1000 which equals to 24,907 BAHT. Some said "OMG," some said "It's alright. Average!" I don't know. You tell me.

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: WEEKLY FASHION (EP6)

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: WEEKLY FASHION (EP6)

Holy Moly, another busy busy week is here. I hope you all had a great start on Monday. So, it's brand new week again, what are you wearing this week? And what did you wear last week? Do you usually plan your wardrobe on daily or weekly basis? I guess, most of us do it on daily basis only. Like myself, I usually think of what to wear the night before and make sure things are ready the next morning before I go to work. However, sometimes I...oversleep (Yeah, everyone does) and end up standing in front of my wardrobe for 15 minuties and not knowing what to wear at all. That is like first world problem.

So I hope, my weekly fashion diary will give you or even myself some ideas or solutions on how to mix and match your old dress, pants, skirt, shirt and create a fresh looking outfit as if you just wear it for the first time ;). I'll show you more about it in few more episodes later when my wardrobe is about to run out of, lolz...That's when you need creativity.

Anyway, here are what I wore last week. Most of them are new stuffs I've just bought and not worn before so I'm pretty excited to share.
Monday!
Getting basic and formal with Brook Brothers floral shirt, Mango pants & Gucci belt. I super love this floral shirt from Brook Brothers. The material is so cool, light and soft. When pairing up with a straight cut pants, it shows some characters, attitudes while pairing it with a skirt, it gives lot of femininity and sophistication. Mike bought this shirt for me together with the Gucci belt and apparently these are one of my favorite pieces in my closet.

Beautiful texture and prints.

Get that look: Brook Brothers shirt

Tuesday.
It was public holiday in Singapore. I spent the entire day staying at home and re-arranging my closet. Also, that was a day my 3 "babies" from US arrived. Say Hello to Kate Spade floral handbag, Dolce Vita shoes & Michael Kors handbag. Super love them!

Arranging my beauty corner. I have way too many beauty, skin care products that I don't use and they are expired -_-.

Arranging my shoes. I think I need a new shoes cabinet very soon. It's over-flowing.
Wednesday!
Bright and shine with color-blocking outfit from Forever21. Love this chiffon ribbon top and pencil pink skirt. The color matches my Katespade bag so perfectly.

Thursday!

I was up to the Sweet Young Thing look! It's like a norm that I always wear skirt or dress on Thursday which I don't know why. I paired up a very basic white tank top from Zara with a polka dot lining blazer from Guess and completed it with princess full circle skirt from River Island.

Very light, simple make up that day I wore. Make-up should only be used to enhance your look not to exaggerate it. Btw, would you be interested in watching a natural make up tutorial soon? :)

Friday.
I went for 2C look: Casual cum Semi- Corporate with this beautiful jumpsuit. It's such a versatile piece,  whenever I need to be really formal or professional for some important meetings, I just need put the blazer on. Else, the jumpsuit is the best choice for casual outfit on Friday at work or even party at night.

I grabbed some silver accessories i.e sparkle earrings, bow silver ring and silver bangle to give more contrast to the outfit. That was it!
It was productive week after all. I was supposed to write this blog entry 3 days ago, however I was busy spending time with parents and I couldn't finish it up.
Now, another new week is here. Hope you guys having a great week and I'll catch up with you with another episode at the end of the week.
Stay sexy and happy!

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: WEEKLY FASHION (Ep5)

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: WEEKLY FASHION (Ep5)

The weekend was gone within a blink of an eye,  it's time to start a brand new week again. Did you have great week and weekend too? I had a very productive week, last week plus a very relaxing and therapeutic weekend. Now, I'm trying to recap what I've done and to put them all into this blog entry before I go to bed.

Last Monday was pretty busy for me with few meetings in a row. As I had to travel a lot to different places to meet up with my client, I usually choose outfits that are dynamic, active and comfortable for me to move around. Mostly on Monday, you often see me wearing pants, shirt or typical corporate outfits. Last Monday, I paired up my favorite Dolce & Gabbana white shirt with blue jeans from Guess. Both items were bought during my trip in LA. Love them to the max.

To complete this look, I even bought a pair of blue wedges from ZARA to match with the jeans.
Super love this wedges, it's so comfortable to wear. I can literally walk my day away on these pieces.

Camwhoring in the car with my PA Carmen while we were heading to the meeting.

Tuesday, letting loose with chiffon and suede. Another Kim Kadarshian inspired look, I matched the Chiffon red shirt from Forever21 with the high waist full circle suede skirt I bought it from Thailand. Accessories I wore that day were gold earrings, vintage rings, a pair of heels from Charles & Keith and brown leather bag.

Found this crazy shoes design online. It's amazing how wild and creative shoes designs can be nowadays.

After work, I came back home early to cook a very nice dinner for me and Mike. We finished all the food :D It feels so good to watch Mike enjoying the foods I cook every time. It's like an orgasm in his mouth, lolz.

Wednesday, colorblocked look. People don't usually dare to wear colorblocked outfit to the office because they think it's too vibrant and bold. I don't think so. Black, dark blue, white are formal and great but they can be boring if you wear it too often at work. Let's try something new, break your comfort zone and add more colors to your closet. Applying right color to your wardrobe does not only help to enhance your look but also to heal, to balance and to add more energy to your daily life.

Here I was wearing a dress from Jonathan Saunders. I changed the original belt to my favorite crystal belt and finished up the look with green shoes from The Island Shop, blue bangles and green/blue feather earrings which happened to be exact same colors with the dress :D

Guess who wore this dress too?

Actress TangWei at Busan International Film Festival.

My outfit was pretty colorful so I decided to go very light and simple make-up as I wanted full attention on my outfit.

Thursday.
Black bodycon dress from Forever21, hot pumps from Charles & Keith and my DIY Swarovski Crystal collar. It's simple but still elegant and hot. You don't have to show too much skin to be called "sexy"

Friday, I usually have "combo" work & party look in 1 outfit. But this time, I decided to go simple at work and changed to another outfit for party later when I got home. So here I wore colorblocked Jean from Cotton On, leotard black top from River Island and ultra comfortable red wedges.  It's contrast outfit which I find it quite cool to play with.

At night, I was invited to attend Maybeline blogger party at Zouk.

So here is my dress-up for Maybeline Blogger party. Deep V back dress from ZARA, Swarovski crystal earrings and gold accessories.

It was too crowded at the party, thus we didn't stay very long. I and Mike decided to go to Marina Bay Sands for a walk after that.

Having some tea and coffee at Marina Bay Sand and I took this photo. Isn't it gorgeous?

Weekend, either I spend most of the time at home or going for swimming, shopping after that. It was such a beautiful sunny afternoon today so I went to go for sun tanning and swimming.
The view from my room to the swimming pool at our place.

and me, relaxing and enjoying the sun.

That's how my last week went. This week is gonna be awesome with holiday and parents are in town. I'm so excited and looking forward to spending time with them.

Hope you guys have a great week ahead too and don't forget to share with me your photos, your outfit, even your most favorite thing in the week. I always love to know.

Happy Monday!

TOP 3 FASHION DESIGNERS FROM THE ASIA FASHION EXCHANGE 2012.

TOP 3 FASHION DESIGNERS FROM THE ASIA FASHION EXCHANGE 2012.

Finally, the biggest and most awaited fashion event of the year has finally returned. It has been 3rd year since Asia Fashion Exchange was held in Singapore. I was lucky to be invited to one fashion show of Audi Fashion Festival, one of the main four activities during the festival last year. It was superb.

This year, Audi Fashion Festival comes back bigger and stronger. There will be many fashion shows, collections from many different fashion designers from Australia, France, New York, Berlin and Singapore. There'll also be the return of the big names like Tiffany & Co, my favorite brand Swarovski and international home-grown label RAOUL (I can't express how much love i have for each collection of Raoul). Looking at the event calendar this year, I feel so excited already.

You can check it out the official event calendar HERE if you want to know more.

And among all these awesome events, I personally look forward to attend the shows of three top designers at AFF this year. They are:

1. French designer Thierry Mugler
2. American designer Zac Posen.
3. French designer Roland Mouret

The three are the big names in fashion industry and they are my HUGE inspiration and motivation.
Easily, you can reckon Thierry Mugler from the his popular perfumes and fragrance line but you might not know that Thierry Mugler was actually the first designer to create his virtual fashion show on the computer so that it can be seen online in 1998. He started making the first outfit when he was at the age of 14. That's pretty amazing.

On Wednesday 16th May, it will be the opening show of Mugler Autumn/ Winter 2012 with his Creative Director, Nicola Formichetti who is well-known for Lady Gaga's wardrobe stylist. Believe it or not, all the super popular music videos of Lady Gaga that you've seen i.e Bad Romance, Telephone, Born This Way, etc...Nicola Formichetti was the one who did styling for all of them. With that said, the coming show of the duo is gonna be explosive.

Oh, and have you ever seen Mugler's collection yet? I managed to get some photos highlight his A/W 2012 during Paris Fashion Week.

Photos from http://www.fashionising.com/

Absolutely love these pieces. They are so strong structure, elegant and mysterious. I can't wait to see more during the Fashion Festival.

Mugler A/W 2012 with Creative Director, Nicola Formichetti opening show will be on Wednesday 16th May at 7pm at Tent@Orchard.

Another favorite designer of mine is Zac Posen. I was quite shocked when I first knew that Zac Posen was born in 1980. I was like "OMG! He is so  young and yet so successful already". He was born with fashion talent in his blood and his interest in fashion started since he was a child. That explains why.

When I first saw Posen's collection, I felt in love immediately. I love his ruffled fishtail mermaid gowns, the sweeping strapless dresses, the bias- cut cocktail dress and many more. Those are always my favorite styles. Posen's collection is also received lot of love and attention from many famous celebrities.

Rihana and her Zac Posen blue dress at Gammy Awards 2008.

Reese Witherspoon at 69th Goden Globe Awards in Los Angeles 2012.

Gwyneth Paltrow and her favorite Zac Posen gown from his Spring collection at Oscars 2007.

Last but not least, Beyonce in deep green Zac Posen resort gown.

That's good enough to prove Zac Posen's collection in this coming May will be a worth waiting for show in Audi Fashion Festival and this is also his very first show in Asia. I'm sure he is gonna get so much love from Asian fashion addicts. His show - Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2012 & F/W 2012 with Designer, Zac Posen will be on Saturday 19th May at 8pm at Tent@Orchard.

The third fashion designer whose show I'm very excited about also comes from France: Roland Moret that is. He is best known for his iconic hourglass creation. He also created the legendary Moon dress made famous by Victoria Beckham.

Roland's signature Galaxy dress which costs £ 1209.00

Other celebrities seem to be big fan of Roland Mouret Galaxy Dress too.

Some of his designs which I'm absolutely in love with

Roland Mouret fold details dress short capped sleeves, pleating at the front and a full length central back zip fastening. Sweet, simple and magical.

Roland Mouret's structured dress with wide shoulder straps, a v-back and a zip fastening at the back. Super elegant and classy

One of Roland's annabelle ruffle dress. It's such a cute design. It features a structured neckline, fitted waist and very adorable ruffle detail along skirt hem.

Caught Katy Perry in this dress. Looks like the dress is made just for her.

Beyonce loves Roland Mouret dress too.

There are, of course, many other talented designers will be joining this festival to showcase their dedication, hardwork and talent. All you need to do is to LIKE these pages to get the latest updates from them Audi Fashion Festival, Asia Fashion Exchange

Til then, let's count down to May 14th. 18 more days to go! YES!!!
