BOTOX AND NOSE FILLER AT ASTIQUE, THE AESTHETIC CLINIC.

BOTOX AND NOSE FILLER AT ASTIQUE, THE AESTHETIC CLINIC.

Right! I'm talking about it again and I'm very sure there are many of you are still curious about this topic because everyday when I check my blog statistic, I see people searching for keyword "Nose Filler treatment" and ended up in my blog. I guess, people are in hunger for this topic. Time to reveal the secret:

I've just had my jaw botox and nose filler done :D
It's awesome!

I know what your reaction is and I had the same reaction too 5 years ago. "OMG!" "Eww", "What?" or whatever it is. 5 years ago, when I read an article talking about some people getting botox or filler done to make them look younger, I used to criticize them and called them a cheater. I thought "OMG! It's so dangerous. It will damage your face in  long term" "Why do they need to do that?" bla bla bla....

Can't believe that 5 years later, I got my first botox & filler done and now I'm loving it. To clarify, I didn't eat my own words and become a cheater. I learned and had the right point of view about what is the true story behind the magical botox & filler.

Last 2 weeks, I went to Astique The Aesthetic Clinic to get botox injection for my square jawline and filler for my nose bridge. C'mon every girl wants to have oval-shaped face, big eyes, high nose and fuller lips like Angelina Jolie and there is nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately, not many girls are naturally born with all that. We need help!

Honestly, plastic surgery is one of the choices pop-ing up in my head time to time. Ok! You can say I'm talking crap because I have totally zero courage to do plastic surgery but I keep talking about it as if I'm gonna do it tomorrow, lolz. When I found out about botox & filler (through internet research), I was absolutely thrilled. Really? My square jaw can be reduced? My nose can be higher? OMG! It's like a dream come true.

I know, you guys probably still not believe that these things work, so for a better comparison, here is the photo before- after in case you want the proof

Look at my chio V-shape jaw and my nose! I'm so in love :D Can you see the difference now? Botox and filler not only enhance your face features but also help to maintain your skin condition very well. Lot of my friends told me that my skin looks so glowy lately, so healthy and bright. I look prettier and they can't find out what did I do. How fun to play the guess game! :D

I'm sure there are tons of questions you would like to ask, below I'm gonna just answer you some of the most common ones:

1. How much does Botox/ Filler cost?
Averagely should be from S$900- S$1800 for filler. Jaw slimming should be from S$400- S$500 depends on clinic. It doesn't hurt you to call to clinic and ask. My clinic Astique The Aesthetic Clinic contact +65- 6732 2801.

2. It looks painful, doesn't it?
Absolutely no because numbing cream will be applied and you will feel numbed instead of painful :D

3. How long does it last?
It last from 6- 8 months. For my case, I'm lucky because my first nose filler lasted up to a year :D

4. Does my face get swollen after that? Do I need to take medical leave?
What? Medical leave? You can go out and party right after the treatment, lolz. No swollen face for me at all, not even bruises. To some people, there might be some needle marks or bruises on their face which can be covered by make-up.

5. What is the difference between botox and filler then?
Both can be used to reduce wrinkles and in combination to achieve the best result. The difference is filler is used to plump up facial features to get more volume while botox is to reduce and weaken the muscles. Don't ever use botox for your nose and filler for your jaw, lolz.

6. My boyfriend doesn't allow me to do botox or filler even I really want to, what should I do?
Find another boyfriend! It's your face and you have the right to do whatever you want to make you happy (make sure it's the right thing) and he is only allowed to give opinion NOT a decision. Can you imagine a life of having a demanding and arbitrary boyfriend/ husband and you can't do what you want to? Poor you.

7. What do I need to prepare before going for treatment?
Make sure you have done enough research about the procedure that you want to do, consult with doctor. Most important thing you need to prepare before the treatment is cash/ cheque/ credit card. :D

In summary, Botox & Filler are safe and suitable for all ages. If you really need to ask for more information, please call the clinic +65- 6732 2801.

I'm gonna end this blog entry with some photos taken during the filming and treatment process. It's boring to read all the texts, I know.

HOW TO TRANSFORM A BASIC SHIRT INTO A TUBE TOP?

HOW TO TRANSFORM A BASIC SHIRT INTO A TUBE TOP?

Last week, I finished shooting and editing my second fashion video tutorial Crystal's Closet. This is collaboration project between me and Zane Lee, my cinematographer. We are trying to make one new video a week if possible. Though it was our first project together but we managed to work pretty well together. Zane is such an amazing and talented man. I love his skills, knowledge and passion.

The weather that day wasn't so helpful as it started raining heavily when we were about to shoot. I was so  hopeless and depressed looking at the pouring rain. Hence, the first half of the shot we did at my...balcony :D. Second half of it, we were quickly doing some walking outdoor shoots when the rain has just stopped about 10 minutes and started raining again

Thankfully, everything was completed after 3 hours. It took me another 2 days to edit, do voice-over and everything.

The reason why I came out with this tutorial is because I often listen to many girls saying that they used to wear basic shirt to work but not anymore since there are so many styles, trends and creative pieces from Taiwan, Korea, Hongkong nowadays with ribbon, lace, flowery hems etc...They look so girly, cute and sweet. As such, poor basic white shirt is officially abandoned

Some say "White shirt looks so boring", while others say "It makes me look like a waitress in a restaurant". I say "That's not true! Style is not what you wear, it's how you wear it". I proved them wrong by making many different interesting looks from a very normal basic shirt I bought from G2000 a while ago. Here are some samples of how you can style it.

Some photos from the shoot:

1. Office Look.

Paring a white shirt with black pencil skirt, a pair of pumps and some red accessories (watch, ring, belt) to add more colors to the outfit

And here is how it looks. Who dare to say I look like a waitress?

2. Casual Look

This is perfect look for Saturday, Sunday brunch with some friends. You can even wear this casual business look for a meeting, it still looks formal and yet not so uptight.

Paring blazer with jeans is one of my favorite things to do.

For this look, you can wear wedges but i think high heels or pumps will give you extra credits for being stylish, sexy and professional.

You can choose to wear red accessories but I decided to go for gold instead because I don't want to be so overly accessorized.

3. Sexy Look.

You gotta be surprised if I say you can definitely be sexy with a basic white shirt. It's the matter of how you wear it

When we talk about SEXINESS, we talk about 5" high heels...

and red lipstick.

and a tube top. Amazingly enough, the tube top you are seeing above is from a basic white shirt that people say it's meant for boring people or waitress only. :D

The bottom line is: Don't restrict yourself to any idea, concept. The amazing things always come from the most ordinary stuffs.

I hope this tutorial gives you some ideas and inspiration to work on your closet. Remember, BACK TO BASIC.

Good luck & see you soon.

Love,
Crystal

2011 AT A GLANCE AND 2012 RESOLUTION

2011 AT A GLANCE AND 2012 RESOLUTION

I know, it's super late, irrelevant topic and I'm super out-dated to write it as it's already the end of the second month of New Year now. I've been thinking of doing a Vlog about this entry to make it more interesting but I didn't have much time and because of that reason, it drags me 2 months to write it up. Anyway, since it's a must- have a topic, I can't run anywhere neither pretend to forget about it. So here I am, slowly recalling everything happened to me in 2011.

If you follow my blog long enough, you know I usually write "Planning & Prediction" post before every New Year. Last year, I predicted many things.  and to my surprise, many things did happen as I predicted. So this year, I'm predicting again, in the future I might quit my current job and open a Fortune Telling business. Lolz.

Let's take a look back at 2011 and see what I've achieved so far.

1. Career.

I thought it was a bad year for me, but turned out it was absolutely good beyond my expectation. There were some difficulties along the way, but no matter how difficult they were, I overcame those challenges. I also won 2 awards for my work performance last year. What can I say? 2011 was my super fruitful and productive year at work.

2. Traveling
It was a fantastic traveling year beyond words. I went to Bintan (Indonesia) first time by choice, the second time by chance fully sponsored by Fashion TV channel.

Another fully sponsored trip to HongKong wonderland for 3 days 2 nights. That trip was epic because I was totally sunk in the huge shopping centers with so many clothes, bags, accessories... OMG! I really miss HongKong. Read my entries about HongKong trip 1, 2, 3

Me at MongKok street.

Night time at Lan Kwai Foong

and visited Victoria Peak!

And amazingly enough, my dream holiday trip to the US came true. I've been always wondering when would I be able to put my first step on American land and at when I wasn't expecting the most, the boyfriend took me to his home to visit his family. I went to Arizona and Los Angeles with him.

There I was in beautiful Arizona. I was hoping to see snow for the first time but it wasn't cold enough even though it was -10 degree Celcius sometimes.

And he took me to Los Angeles, stayed in Beverly Hills for 3 days. That 3 short days made me keep thinking of moving to and living permanently in Los Angeles for good in the future.

I was seriously overwhelmed by the friendly people, multi-culture, fun lifestyle, diversity there.

Went to visit the beautiful Santa Monica Pier

and the paradise of shopping in Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive. LA weather was simply beautiful.

Last year, traveling was fantastic. I'm blessed and grateful for each opportunity I have to travel to different parts of the world. Unfortunately, Bangkok trip didn't happen as planned but I'm gonna go there in a month time anyway.

4. Friends & strangers.
I worried too much last year. I didn't meet any bad people as I thought, in fact, I met all awesome people, friends, and even strangers are nice to me too, lolz. Hopefully this year, there will be more people coming along the way.

5. Family.
I have no other word besides WONDERFUL. July last year, my family welcomed a new member and I officially became an aunty. The way the baby laughs, baby smiles, the baby looks at things through his innocent eyes make everything simple, beautiful and happy. I love my nephew so much. Look at him!

Look at his eyes! So adorable.

The only thing I did when I went back hometown was to hug him and kiss on his chubby cheeks. It's so irresistible!

My last year birthday was also the most special birthday for me ever. I had a big birthday party with many friends, colleagues in a VIP Karaoke lounge. Most importantly, my parents were around to celebrate with me too. That's the biggest present for me as it has been so long time since they first celebrated my birthday when I was 6 years old. 22 years has gone for God's sake.

That's how my awesome 2011 went. Apart from all these major things, I also achieved many different awards, achievements throughout the entire year.

1. Won the 1st runner up in Singapore Dance Fiesta with my partner and few other trophies in many international dance competitions. Looking back, dancing is still a part of my life and I can never live without it. I guess, even when I'm 70 years old, I will still dance or I will teach my grandchildren how to dance.

and the 1st runner up for ShowDance in 24th Singapore International Ballroom Dancing Championship.

2. After 5  years of blogging, my blog has been nominated and in the finalist for Best Shopping Blog & Best Mobile Blog of the annual Singapore Blog Award. I know, it sounds a little bit irrelevant to what I've been blogging daily but hey, it's still recognition, right?

3. OK! This is big news and I'm still so overwhelmed by it even though it has been 4 months since my first debut on a local TV drama series called: "Point of Entry" as an actress. You know, I love acting movies, love being in front of the camera. And I have a hope (am still hoping) to act in one big movie about dancing, about love, life etc...So when I first received an invitation to a casting for Ly (a character in Point of Entry), I was so excited. Even though Ly's life story isn't a fairy tale story as what I wanted but it was a very tough role to play: a Vietnamese girl with a very pity life. Anyway, if you haven't watched, here is your chance to watch and tell me what you think.

Overall, last year was an interesting year for me. It was up and down, but I'm so grateful that things turned out well in the end. It's better than I expected. This year, I'll have a long list of things I'd like to achieve

My 2012 resolution!

Take your time to digest because I'm gonna bombard you with a long list :D.

1. Getting my Lasik surgery for my eyes. I can't express how much I hate wearing contact lens nowadays. It makes my eyes so dry and uncomfortable :(

2. Getting Invisalign and veneer done to have Hollywood smile :D.

3. Getting married! OMG! This is the biggest task, not only 2012 resolution but also my entire life resolution, lolz. I've been being urged countless time by my parents about it.

4. Go to New York to celebrate New Year at Time Square or to Europe.

5. Work hard to earn more money.

6. Online-shopping needs to be reduced :( I have been saying this like zillion times -_-

7. Making more dance costumes.

8. Blog at least twice a week.

9. Making 1 fashion tutorial video once a week. This is tough but I have no excuse not to do it since I already started my own fashion channel on Youtube, I gotta be more consistent.

10. Getting my driving license. Very soon

11. Taking a part-time fashion design course. I have no idea why lately I'm so obsessed with fashion, clothing, and styles.

12. Be more patient, understanding, caring.

13. Give me more time to....rest, pamper myself more.

That's all I could think of and those are the biggest things I need to achieve this year. What about you?
What are your new year resolutions and how much you have done to accomplish it?

Love,
Crystal

Remember about my previous post, I talked about my passion where I'm gonna dance, film and make a dress? It's finally HERE! My first DIY (Do It Yourself) fashion tutorial which I will show you how to make a very beautiful and sexy dress from a very simple outfit.

So this is the first video I made, there are still many mistakes here and there but hope you guys enjoy watching it and do give me some feedbacks, love- hate comments or whatsoever.

LIVE LIFE WITH PASSION

LIVE LIFE WITH PASSION

Have you ever been into something so much that it absorbs your mind and time completely and you have no time for anything else? I am currently in that situation. It's also Love but not Boyfriend, Girlfriend Relationship- kind of Love. It's the Love you have for something, dream of doing things and feel satisfied after accomplishing it. Or we call it PASSION.

I have so many passions with me. Passion in dancing, in movie acting, in modeling, and now it comes to fashion, clothing. I love cutting a square piece of cloth into few small pieces and sew them all together, put on some crystals and accessories to it. And I call it a dress of Crystal. Looking at the final result always make me very happy and proud. But again, my problem is I don't have enough time to accomplish each and every passion of mine so I have to find the best way to do all them at once.

And I found one method. Guess what it is?

Before telling you the answer, I'm gonna give you some hints through the photos below:

Swarovski Crystal- I can't express how much love I have for all these tiny sparkle stones. They never fail to put a smile on my face every time I look at them. Guess that's why my name is Crystal :)

Playing with some gold beads strings. You'll be amazed once I show you how this gold string could help you in transforming your outfit. Super gorgeous!

Got a beautiful gold leotard from DiscountDanceSupply website. Totally in love <3. I've been looking for gold leotard in such the longest time ever. As you can see, I'm modifying it. :D

So you fail in finding what the best way for me to fulfill my passions all in one? ;) I'm telling you now.
The photos above are sneak peek from my latest video shoot: How to transform a normal leotard into a sexy dance costume.

There you go! You'll be seeing me filming myself, making the dress and dancing a short routine for demonstration. I'm doing exactly what I love to do: actress, fashion stylist & a dancer at the same time. :D

How about you? Have you found your own passion yet? Don't forget finding yourself a true passion and pursuing it because Passion always makes your life more meaningful and interesting.

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

{CRYSTAL'S CLOSET}: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

HAPPY AWESOME NEW YEAR!

Hi guys!
It's 3rd day of the new year, according to the Lunar calendar. I'm having a great time celebrating New Year with Mike and my family in Vietnam. There is nothing better than this time, to be at home, to eat mom's foods, and to be surrounded by many people you love. BEST! I hope you guys having a great time too with your family and wish you a splendid, wonderful year ahead. :)

A short entry as I'm uploading it mainly from my iPhone.
I'm going to head out later to my student's house for dinner. Every year I go back, my group of dance students will get in touch with me to take lessons and to have house parties. It's freezing here in Vietnam, the temperature is around 7- 15 degree Celsius, I have to wear many layers of cloths every time I go out.

Here is what I wore today.

Trendy coat from H&M. Super love this coat and it fits me so well.

Inside layer: I'm wearing a short leather jacket from F21, bought it during my LA trip.

H&M ankle boots. Love them.

That's my entire look for today. What are you wearing for Chinese New Year? If you have more interesting mix&  match looks, perhaps you can share with me in the comment section below.

Will be back for a longer entry about the entire trip... For now, Happy New Year all!
Love,
Crystal

SHOPPING IN LOS ANGELES

SHOPPING IN LOS ANGELES

Sharing with you some items that I bought from the US trip and in case you are wondering "How is shopping in US?" I would say: IT'S SO AWESOME!

Seriously! Things are so much cheaper there than in Singapore. Not just that, all the items are unique, and there are many varieties for you chose. Some brands are not even available in Singapore and they are beautiful.  I wanted to make this post a little bit more special so I create a fashion collage called "Crystal Look book". These are what I bought from the trips and how I'm going to wear them.

First outfit from Forever21, black sleeveless dress with back silver zip and transparent V-cut at the waist on both sides. It creates an illusion of a small waist and increases your body curve. I wear this to work, and it makes me feel very confident every time I wear it. Small red belt and red watch will be a highlight of your entire look. Oh and don't forget a sexy high heels together. Dress is at USD$24.

Second dress from F21 as well, a black body con dress with three water drops neckline. It looks so stylish and sexy and yet affordable at USD$22.

This is definitely Crystal's style, shiny & sexy. I love how the gold sequins decorated on the soft material. It gives a rough and sensual feel at the same time. If you are planning on a Friday night date, this dress is a perfect choice. Don't forget a small clutch, a sexy pair of pumps and red or pink lipstick with you. I bought this celebrity-inspired dress at only USD$24. Score!

The last dress I bought from F21 is this orange-black one side shoulder body con dress. The design is not new, but the colors are very well matched. It also focuses on your body curve. I'm going to pair this dress with a pair of orange coloured heels, bracelets, and sunglasses like in the photo. It costed me USD$22 only to get this piece home.

There are many more things in F21, which I believe if I spent another hour or two there, I could have bought one luggage of their clothes back. Most of the dresses sold in Singapore are around S$59- S$69 or even more. Besides, they are pretty out-dated so even you pay three times of the price, you'll probably get the last season items only.

Left F21, we went to few other shopping stores. One of them is GUESS. Initially, I wanted to buy a pair of jeans only but in the end, I bought more than that *girls' problem*. Things in the store are pretty cheap, ranging from USD$100- USD$200. You might say "That's my spending money in a week". But look, if you compare to the same item in Singapore, you'll probably have to pay three times higher". So if you can afford, I still it's cheaper to buy them in the US than in Singapore.

This is one of favourite dresses from GUESS. It's so flattering and well-fitting. The dress is USD$98 and jacket is USD$138. I also managed to find the shoes in black and white stripes. They are from Charles & Keith and my watch is from Swarovski.

This is my mix and match set called Glam Chic. Sequin cotton top from Armani Exchange for USD$39 only. The brown leather jacket is even cheaper, only USD$29 from Forever21. I quickly grabbed it the moment I saw it. It's super comfortable and it fits me so well too. This probably is my best-buy item so far. Brown ankle length boots are from H&M, I bought them in Singapore for S$59. The black boots are from Aldo.

Another sophisticated and stylish set that I like. The fruit printed white top from Dolce &Gabbana for USD$249. Skinny Jean from Guess at USD$128 and Gucci belt bought in Singapore at S$560. I'm totally in love with this look. Very comfortable and modern, it's suitable for work a casual day out.

Lastly, this is one of my most favourite items. Bebe dress! I've been in love with Bebe clothes from the first sight. All the dresses are so elegant, sexy and trendy. Bebe dresses in Singapore are usually sold at S$300 and above but, believe it or not, you can find some dresses at less than USD$100 and they are nice in US too.

And these are the two dresses I got while I went shopping in Rodeo drive. Take a look!

First! It's a sparkly night. I can't express how much love I have for this shiny dress. Super comfortable and fitting. It really compliments my body curve well. The shiny stripe on the dress is such a brilliant idea. It makes the dress totally not boring at all.

Second dress: Bebe Brennan Deep V Lace Dress. It's a celebrity style with deep V shape neckline, bare back. I'm so obsessed with this dress. The lace & satin go well together make the dress look so super hot and feminine. Bought it for USD$159, super happy because it's cheap, and it's not even sold in Singapore. Know what?

Actress Carmen Electra wore it too :D

The last shop I went is of course Victoria's Secret. There is no shopping haul completed without a visit Victoria's Secret store. I came when they had 50% OFF in the store. Right timing!
I bought a couple of bras (1 for 1), panties. Super satisfied!

Total bill. Victoria's Secret lingeries are by far the best. I love their bras, they are so comfortable and so soft. I feel like kissing it every time I wear it.

Overall, it was such a great trip, great shopping experience. Everyone is so polite, friendly and serves you so well as if you were a Queen even though you are not buying anything from them. I love it! I'm going to end this entry here because I'm running out of time. Need to have rapid packing and head down to the airport.
Before ending this, let me wish you guys a very happy, healthy New Year.
Love,
Crystal
